Mike i think it would be better to have the body first. Then design and build around it.Just my 2 cents.

No doubt about it but I am a bit past that stage in the game. Have a body that I have been working on but it just isnt working out the way I wanted. I my get it there but it is going to be a while before it is done. I use to have a gn car and they are pretty close to the same size as the truck so I thought I would check into using a truck body on it.

thanks Mike

thanks Ed it is 4 and 2 wheel drive. It will have a transfer case with a disconnect so you can run it ether way. Its a monster the pics dont really do it justice. It will have 4 speed automatic with reverse. I am still gathering parts. Just not happy with the body at this stage. It looks ok in the pics but not to me in person. I guess I could quit trying to make it perfect and give more of the old beater look. It is after all going to get the snot beat out of it.

you can see the diff's better in this pic

Mike not sure what motor you will use. This will bolt up to a Zenoah. It can be use for 2 or 4 wheel drive.

Ed I am not sure what I am looking at. Is that some type of gear reduction unit? I have most of the drive line worked out. I had originally plane on using a 31cc 4 stroke honda. I decided to go with e power instead twin 970's running on 10s lipo. I have yet to make the motor mount as I have been really thinking lately that I would rather run the honda. Just love the sound of the 4 stroke through a set of duel exaust. It just didn't fit in the truck right and the tranny needed the motor to rotate the opposite direction. That was way I decided to go with e power but I still keep going back the the sound of that 4 stroke.

Mike its a tranfer case.Have you seen the Tamiya Bruiser frame .I made one that is 1/4 scale. It is CNC and the frame rails are cut out.So the cross mermbers and motor mount fit inside the rails. The motor mount is v shaped.

Keep up the good work.

thats cool I check out your site theres some great looking cars. I wish I had the tools to do that kinda work. This is what the truck looks like with the honda in it. I would have to have a gear box like the one you made to make it work. It would need to be a bit smaller and need to be gear to gear not belt or chain drive. It would help if the honda was a little bit smaller being a 4 stroke it is large for the cc's.

Mike if you can take a pic of the clutch side. Then a couple of dimensions.I will make my case fit the honda. Then we can go over what gears. What ratio and how many gears.

Fred if you have the same could you pass it on.

Thanks Ed

The hood is at 8 inches and the cab is about 11 inches depending on how you trim the bottom when you mount the body bed height is about the same as the hood. As the wheel wells are not defined on the body you can adjust the cutouts to fit.

Ed. I don't know about the 31 cc. Honda but the 25 cc. I had the clutch we use on all our cars will bolt right up to it.

thanks again guys. from what I understand the 25cc and the 31cc honda motor share the same clutch. I looked for ever trying to find one that would work and had no luck. Every one I found was was to long. They stuck out past the front of the motor 3 or 4 inch. I need one that is shorter. That was the main reason I went to e power. 35 has a 3" square bolt pattern out side of hole to out side and a 2 & 7/8" clutch IIRC and I am about 99.9% sure that is right. does that mean I could use one of the clutches that fit the zenoah motors? If so then that would be great. If I could do that then Ed could you make a gear box that was separate from the motor with a input what ever size the output on the clutch is and a out put of 6mm on the front and back of it. I can work out the gearing I would need.

thanks guys I really appreciate all the help.

Ed The clutch on the 31 cc. honda is bigger than the 25 cc. I have the 25cc. and looking at the photos of the 31 it is considerably larger. Looks to be the size on my 46 cc motor. The spacing for the 25cc. motor is 58mm. the spacing for the 31cc motor is 70.7 mm plus or minus.02.
I am sorry for the confusion. I tried to upload photos. too big to attach. I will email them in the morning.
or put them in my gallery.
