Very interesting...

Kind of chunky looking, sort of what the new Charger would look like if it only had 2 doors.

Ya there have been more and more spy shots showing up lately. I was hoping they wouldn't use that headlight configuration but it looks like that's the deal. I've never liked the nose design. I'm wondering what aftermarket company will come out with a new nose design first.

Here is my rendering of how I want the new Camaro to look. :p

Agreed Scott! That frontal area is an overly busy mess by Homer Simpson.:freak:

Whoever signed off on that has an appointment at the woodshed with ole' hickory!:p

I'd say it needs speed holes. nd

Call me crazy but I think it looks good.

I like the retro vibe it has with the big grille and throwback design cues, but it is nice that it is different from the totally retro knock-offs from FoMoCo and Mopar.

It does need T-tops and a Firebird cousin, however.

yup, and I hate to admit it being a mopar guy and all, but I dont think a 2-door charger would look quite this good. On the other hand, the Challenger dominates all, so its a moot point. I thought the front clip looked just fine as-is but I like Slott V's headlight-less grille even better. Brings you back to the 60s even moreso.

I agree, the new Challenger rocks. I even like it better than the original, it's just a better overall car. Those old Mopars had fabulous motors, trannys, and rear ends, but the suspension and bodywork was junk.

it looks like the new Mustang and the Charger have mated :(

Not being a real fan of the Camaro. If I were to get one of the new ones, it definitely wouldn't be black. The lighter colors I've seen spec'd (silver/white) would be my choice. But being a MOPAR nut, the Challenger is still my choice. Although from the retro perspective, the Mustang is still the best looker as far as recreating the late 69/70 version that I loved back in the day. The new Challenger is close, but they could have done a little more. But thanks to all of them for even considering something different, finally!:thumbsup: rr

Gotta love the receiver style trailer hitch on the back. Any idea what the two pipes out the back next to the hitch are???

I think they did a great job on this car, looks like but isn't a '69 Camaro...

I think the car looks pretty cool and I think the look is more a combination of retro and futuristic. The roofline and windows come almost directly from the first gen '67-'69 Camaros. But overall the lines are sharper and the tall sides with the short windows offer a more futuristic look, along with the big 20" rollers.

The picture I posted was an early design model. I didn't change anything besides sticking my own blower set up on it for laughs. The first gen RS models had hidden headlights so maybe they will offer that again on the new Camaro. The Z28 and SS models should offer some big power for the street.

Those cars are "mules" and they usually hook up all kinds of test equipment to them. The trailer hitch and connections are probably for a weight trailer or MPG diagnostic device. That looks like a Class C hitch and it's very doubtful that the final models will offer something that big for that tow rating.

The rear quarter panel definitely steals some cues directly from the '69 Camaro, which was the pinnacle of Camaro styling for me. The front is just too weird. It looks like it's wearing a Darth Vader helmet. I wonder if it emits deep breathing sounds inside?

Personally, I like it. It is modern and aggressive yet it is true to the Camaro heritage. I would only change the goofy headlight arrangement...seems almost like an afterthought. Could this be the car to bring people like me back from imports? Possibly...
