They're filming The Wolf Man remake now, and it's currently scheduled for a 2009 release.

New rumors have been circulating about a Creature From The Black Lagoon remake for a couple of years now (I say "new" rumors because I've been hearing rumors about a remake since the late 70's). At one point Bill Paxton was supposed to play the male lead (not the Creature); another rumor had adult film star Jenna Jameson being the body mold for a female Creature; one of the latest rumors is that the new Creature will be "much more mobile with the ability to climb trees and swing around rather than walking slowly," and that "the first encounter with the Creature is when they capture one of it's babies." And every time a new rumor surfaces, the plotline of the film is different. :rolleyes:

IMDB.com lists a Creature remake as "in production", but I'll believe it when I see it. I'm such a fan of the original film that I couldn't care less.
