Two outragous commedies with lots of road trips and mishaps with each consisting of very talented comedic teams.,which was the funnier or just plain better movie:p.?

Shaun of the Dead.

While I enjoyed both, Tommy Boy was by far the better comedy for my tastes. It's the only movie I ever watched where I was laughing so hard, I literally had to grab the arm of the theater seat to keep from falling out of my seat and into the aisle.

IMO Tommy Boy is better because it has more physical humor than gross-out humor and is a little less cruel in the humor. Other than the cow tipping scene where Tommy is covered in "mud" and a comment about the mud vein in the shrimp, I can't recall too many fart/poo/gross out jokes. Plus Tommy is a likeable character.

Dumb & Dumber relies heavily on bodily functions as humor - peeing in empty bottles, laxative gag, fart jokes, frozen mo-ped all come to mind. Plus a lot of the humor is a bit on the cruel side with characters doing mean stuff to the others such as putting hot peppers in food. Also the 2 main characters in Dumb & Dumber are so stupid at times that it takes away a bit from the movie.

Both are funny movies, but if it were a rainy day I'd be more likely to watch Tommy Boy. Now don't get me started on Black Sheep.

I'm not generally a fan of "stupid" humor but Jeff Daniels deserved an Oscar for that toilet scene.

Hmmm, Tommy Boy was great? Cloverfield sucked? This pretty much explains everything now! Now I know I'm in Bass Ackwardsville!

LOL. Black Sheep was on cable today.

I fell asleep during tommy boy, but the scenes in dumber with the mustard and ketchup and when harry was on the toilet were fantastic
