Lesney made three different boats before Superfast, first one (48A) was made entirely of metal and does not float :rolleyes: but still a nice casting ;)

Some more classic MB that I had never seen before. The second boat with the motor mounted on the back is my favorite. Thanks for the pics Karl-e.:wave:

The top one is the only metal one.

Very nice, especially the boat that doesnt float:thumbsup: Aside from color trials like the 55 Mercury Policecar this 48a trailer is the only time Lesney used black topsides on a regular wheels-otherwise only used for baseplates.
Plastic technology may not have been available when they made 48a but a boat that sinks like a stone has little play value....but is very collectable
