Just discovered something on my home InkJet printer.
I ran the same Decal Sheet through twice, just as a test, and to my amazement
it printed a second time in perfect alignment with the first run.
Not just close, but PERFECT over very complex Decal images that included text.
InkJet Printers produce such a superior job over ALPS generated images that this may further their use for mid range color application.

I'm sure that key to this would be sliding the Decal Sheet gently into the holding bin on the second run so not to misalign anything.
When the Clearcoat dries I'll try a few of these and post the results.
This may allow even better color trueness over Gold, Yellow and other Pastels.

Cool find Pat! Which Ink Jet Printer do you have? I'm not sure that my ink jet feeder would double up perfectly on the images but it is worth a try I (on standard paper first) I guess.

Where yat GLH,
It's worth a try,
I would try this with several (about 15 at least) pages in the feeder and the edge guide snugly up against your paper.
This way you know the sheets won't move left or right but only straight through the printer.
This is working for me with Glossy Photo Paper and Decal paper, both which are more substantial than plain white paper.
Still, give it a try with plain white paper, it's worth a shot.

Here's another tip.
As you create your Decals you can test them on Glossy Photo Paper.
Just open up a file at the same resolution of your images, 300dpi or 600dpi, and the size of a sheet of Glossy Photo Paper, 8.5" x 11".
To test your Decal image just drag it over into the full page file and print.
You can keep using the Glossy Photo Page over and over until full by slipping in new images next to those already printed.
Just use your Layers Palette to Turn Off or Delete previously printed images to disallow them being repeatedly printed.

I'm using an InkJet Epson CX6400. It was top of their line 3 years ago and works like the day I bought it.
