View Full Version : Roll Call GASCAR Series RAce #1 @ LPR
ScottH 03-23-2008, 11:05 PM The first race of the season is fast approaching and I for one am looking foward to this year. There is nothing that compares to a great race day.
You can count on us from Team Coyote to be there.
Tim
Jason
Scott
Marlin
Chris
You Quarter Scale guys and Electric Racers are welcome to race as well.
Electric racers let us know if you are coming and what classes you will run. BTW, it takes at least 4 to make a class.
The track will be able to be opened Friday for practice, we will just have to get together with Marlin to get it opened for us.
COYOTE 03-23-2008, 11:49 PM What a warm up race we had this past weekend at LPR. The track had very little rubber on it, but the cars ran well for the first time out for 2009. Scott, marlin, and I did not aggressively tune our cars, but turned in some impressive lap times which bettered last years times at this point of the season. Cant wait for the first GASCAR Race at LPR on April 26th, to see what everyone brings to the table. The Coyotes will be howling!!
oldnum3 03-24-2008, 08:51 PM Well I figured I would give yall a heads up that myself,Brian and Casey are headed down Thursday night for the race. Sounds like yall are DIALED and there wont be no catching you. From talking with Kevin, He and BW are coming down Friday afternoon or evening. So hopefully we should have a good field of .12s. :woohoo: Talk to ya soon and looking forward to some good racing.
Roger
ScottH 03-24-2008, 09:06 PM Dialed? Yeah right. We are still playing catch up. But if you call 5.8's dialed, then we are there.
It will be good to have you guys over for the race, I have the day off Friday so I will be down as well. Make no plans for Friday night and we will all go bench race somewhere.
BW is heading out this way? I will believe that when I see it.
oldnum3 03-24-2008, 09:34 PM Sounds like a plan Scott. Yep, I am ready to come play. Hey 5.8s aint bad I will be lucky to break 6.0s. Just order up some good weather. Yea, I am with ya on BW. He bails on more races than he makes. hehehe. How many guys down there do you know are going to run? I am pretty confident 5 of us from this way will be there.
See Ya,
Roger
ScottH 03-24-2008, 10:11 PM I am pretty sure of the five I listed, not 100% on Chris. His nickname around here is "No-Show", so you do not know until the day of.
Are you guys planning on running the entire series?
Lucky to break 6.0's? Man you are laying it on THICK!!
COYOTE 03-25-2008, 12:31 AM Hey you guys,
Thick or not, racing gets better and better each year with you guys. We have been running the GASCAR Series for about 5 or 6 years now, and the competition just keeps getting better and better. Thanks for your support over the years; you make us all better racers, and we will race with you any time, any place we can. Have a safe trip down here, and I will see you all on Friday or Saturday, at the butt crack of dawn. I can't even count the times we have raced three or four abreast through a turn without even trading paint. Thats a statement on how close the competition has gotten. Thanks to all of you guys, I have never had this much fun racing R/C oval as I have in GASCAR. See you on the 26th at LPR!!
oldnum3 03-25-2008, 09:10 PM Yea, the plans are to run the series with you guys. How about Jimmy and Andy? Thick huh, We'll see lol. Thanks Tim and we are looking forward to coming down and the entire year also.
See ya,
Roger
Echeconnee 03-25-2008, 10:40 PM 5.8's lol, that's only .7 sec off the dog killer! Keep rubbin that dog's belly, he might get up to speed! I will try to make it over in May when the 1/4 and gas cars are scheduled to run. Cliff S. and I will both be thereDialed?
ScottH 03-25-2008, 11:39 PM Jimmy is going through a rough patch right now so he is taking some time to regroup. He is planning to make the Nats. As far as Andy, he is trying to get into Jr. Drag cars.
Cliff, .7 off of your sled? Please!!! You could not run 5.1's in that sled of yours if it was tied to a rocket!
Remember what your daddy told you about dogs, "That dog will bite you!"
Seriously, Cliff I hope you can make the races. It is not the same without you. (Somebody has to run in the back). :D
COYOTE 03-26-2008, 01:16 AM Jimmy is planning on running the second half of the season. He is in the middle of changing jobs and moving and it takes some time to get things sorted out. It won't be the same witout him, but he will be at the Nats , even if I have to tie him to the hood of my car and drive him to Easley........lol
Andy is a typical 16 year old and is lookig at spending this summer in a junior dragster and hanging out with his buds......WE will miss him, but he will probaly be back in 2009. See you all at LPR on the 26th.
Echeconnee 03-26-2008, 09:04 AM (Somebody has to run in the back) LOL, that was witty but you would know more about running in the back, scratch that, staying on the porch and barking a lot:lol::lol::lol:
ScottH 03-26-2008, 05:14 PM (Somebody has to run in the back) LOL, that was witty but you would know more about running in the back, scratch that, staying on the porch and barking a lot:lol::lol::lol:
Annnd.... your N-P finishes for last year were what? I forget, how far BACK did you end up when we raced?
Echeconnee 03-26-2008, 06:06 PM Yur gettin slow, took you all day to respond to that one! lol How many laps down were you the last time we raced @ LPR before my car exploded on impact with a stalled car blocked by 3 turn marshals looking at it trying to figure out what to do? As I recall, I was TQ! But you definitely showed the way all weekend @ the Nats! I aim to correct that particular shortcoming this year!
oldnum3 03-26-2008, 10:55 PM I need to throw some water on you 2. lol Yall are way to fast for me. Just beep and i will move over and let you by. How bout it Cliff you going to make the 1st race. I got to watch you and Scott go at it.:woohoo: Its all fun just dont collect me in the carnage please...lol...I got the back covered.:) Myself and Cliff had a good time at the nats......Could have been alot better though...Hey you guys take care and I will chat later.
Roger
ScottH 03-26-2008, 11:37 PM I will say this, Cliff and I will pick at each other here, but when we get on the track he is a great competitor and will race ya clean.
Clinchkid 03-26-2008, 11:53 PM I sure am glad I have a pair of boots to wear, it is really getting deep. I am sure that I can run a 6.4 or maybe a 6.3. 5.8, I will need 500 laps get my times down that far. I am going to throw a chain out try to hook onto you aw's coller and let yaw drag my sled around.LOL. I look forward to racing with yaw this year.
COYOTE 03-27-2008, 12:16 AM Hey Guys,
I have secured Morgan Fuel as a major sposnsor for the .12 class again this year at the Nats. They wiil be furnishing Sidewinder 20% Pro Blend for the entire Nationals weekend. This is only for the .12 class, and NOT the .09 class. The .09 class will secure their own fuel sponsor, and run what they normally run. Fuel will be shipped to the Hobby Connection, in Easley, a couple of weeks before the Nats.
Looking forward to seeing all you guys at LPR on the 26th. We wont be sitting on the porch howling at the moon.......... It will be fun! Also, I have been in touch with Robert Hellard, who is running the SugarBowl and he said all is still go for our GASCAR race there on May 31st. Not much going on there on a weekly basis, so the track will be green. Maybe we will have enough quarter scale cars there to lay down some rubber. Have a safe trip to LPR........take care.
ScottH 03-27-2008, 12:20 AM I sure am glad I have a pair of boots to wear, it is really getting deep. Well with all this fertilizer, we are surely going to have to cut the grass at the track once you guys get there and probably once during the weekend!
Is this a GREAT SPORT or what?!?!?
skillet22429 03-27-2008, 12:28 AM im hopin ill make the nats.........if i can get off the nite job that weekend, its just gonna be too hard to get off work that morning at 7ish race that day and go back to work that nite at 10ishbut the way diesal is, every penny helps
ScottH 03-28-2008, 12:48 AM skillet -- The Nats are more than a weekend. You better plan on at least Wed thru Sunday for that one.
skillet22429 03-28-2008, 01:14 AM o nevermind on me even goin then, i cant take off 2 jobs
skillet22429 03-28-2008, 01:17 AM they'll only let me off 1-2 times a month on my nite job at ZEN due to the out of state orv club im with, and i run the other company truck with the commercial lawn care/landscaping company mon-thurs in the inverness//greaystone/hoova/mt brook area

I will be down Friday morning to get ready for the day.

jerry97 03-31-2008, 12:27 AM Hey guys, time is fast approaching the start of the GASCAR season.

ScottH 03-31-2008, 12:29 AM It was great!
I was thinking Barney would be Wayne or maybe even Will. If I was running 1/4, I WOULD be the Sheriff. LOL
Echeconnee 04-13-2008, 10:41 PM Scott have you earned your go fastus on de oval diploma yet?
kevina250 04-13-2008, 11:31 PM Hey Proffesor Cliff. Only when you come down and teach him with that B.S. degree. And B.S. does not mean Bachelor of Science.
ScottH 04-14-2008, 12:28 AM That depends, if all I have to do is qualify is be faster than you, then I have HAD it for a WHILE.
Benjie Wright 04-14-2008, 08:27 PM I have been out of hobbytalk to long, You guys talk it up more than me. I'll be there on the 26th, sounds like ya'll are up to no good showing up a day early to get some practice in. Ya'll be easy on number 3 until i get there,( i really want his cherry). Later BW
oldnum3 04-15-2008, 05:38 PM Oh, once again ole winless one. My cherry is the last thing you want to get a hold of. You can run but you cant hide. You sure can bounce to every forum known to man and talk it but you just cant seem to make it to the track and show it.:woohoo: Again just funnin. I am sure if you make a few races you will have all of me you will ever want to see. Keep talking BW it makes it all funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Catch yall on the flip flop in ALLLLLabama.
Roger
kevina250 04-15-2008, 11:09 PM As the ole Nature Boy say's, WHOOOOOOO!
Benjie Wright 04-15-2008, 11:45 PM Im just going for the fun, Kevin told me i can't out run him, You know why. Can't make him look bad. Like that would be hard. Scott, are you still kicking, They said you got to fast down there and lost gravitational pull. Maybe you can shut Kevin up for me. Is Casey going to ala? I thought this was an invitational race? Tell Casey i like him But Maverick and OLD#3 are to mean. They will have to stay at home. This was an invitational race for the nice and good looking people. Oh well guess i will be running for the trophy alone, i have no more team mates. Later guys - (Stessed out because of SMURFS- Man they are everywhere).Benjie Wright- one man team
ScottH 04-16-2008, 12:08 AM Still here and kicking.
Kevin -- the LHS sold out of tanks but have more ordered. Some dude bought them both for a ROCK CRAWLER. I found some on ebay though.
Echeconnee 04-16-2008, 08:09 AM "B" is for Ballistic! "S" is for Speed! Put those two together and you get "TQ"! Elementary Kevin, elementary. Still trying to teach ole Scotty how to win by some other method than attrition! LOL Yes, it took me 3 days to think up a good come back.Hey Proffesor Cliff. Only when you come down and teach him with that B.S. degree. And B.S. does not mean Bachelor of Science.
Echeconnee 04-16-2008, 08:12 AM Did you notice the Nature Boy bowed out of 12th scale 19t this year in Daytona? He knew Bean had his cannon loaded! Instead of WHOOOOOOOOO, it was WHOAAAA! As the ole Nature Boy say's, WHOOOOOOO!
oldnum3 04-16-2008, 07:51 PM Ole BW, Casey is going to AL. Your always running alone and scared Mr I'm a one man team. No wonder you have no teammates. You cant keep secrets I am told. Stressed huh, You aint seen nothing yet:woohoo: Keeping it fun!
See ya in ALLLLLLLLLLLabama!
Roger
ScottH 04-16-2008, 08:14 PM Three days? And that is the best you can do? Man that Georgia education is really letting you down.
ScottH 04-16-2008, 08:15 PM BW is not a one man team, he still has Kevin.
Echeconnee 04-16-2008, 10:30 PM Wasn;t educated in GA but I still know where the tooth brush was invented!Three days? And that is the best you can do? Man that Georgia education is really letting you down.
Clinchkid 04-16-2008, 10:56 PM Hey Benji, oldnum3 and I are not mean, we just call it like we see it.:woohoo: Mean would be us making you pit at the out house, way down at the bottom of the hill, so U can be covered up by all of the BS you are spitting out. By the way don't get big papa smurf on ya, he will lay a smackdown on you that brake cleaner won't take off. :p. Just make sure to bring plenty of parts for that team platinum/red/orange/pinto/gremlin/yugo rc products honk wagon!! I can't wait for the smackdown:wave: turd smurf out!
ScottH 04-16-2008, 11:38 PM It sure was not in Georgia, nobody has teeth over there to need one.
Cliff -- you going to make it and run with us?
skillet22429 04-16-2008, 11:41 PM Still here and kicking.
Kevin -- the LHS sold out of tanks but have more ordered. Some dude bought them both for a ROCK CRAWLER. I found some on ebay though.
how now dont crack on the rock crawlers, altho my tank on the nitro crawler is a 24 oz aircraft tank, and the 2 axials well their electric......and i got a 7 gallon fuel cell in my full size competition crawler lol....
o yea, thought id chime in and no im not dead yet.....i may be this weekend after the XRRA(Xtreme Rock Race Association) eastern division opener race #1 at gray rock.....
kevina250 04-17-2008, 12:33 AM All this talk of eating and going to school makes me hungry. Guess I will bring me a box lunch.
Benjie Wright 04-17-2008, 10:19 PM Just think, only eight more days till i get revenge on the smurfs, no more being stressed out over blue people, and dang blue cars that are always in my way. I have no teammates Scott. As for the gremlin HONK wagon-
YOU DAGUM RIGHT, and i'm going to drive that Jessy right up a Smurfs %%%!!!! I'LL temporarily run with a pack of coyotes, if it means destroying a smurf or a bunch of smurfettes.Smurfs can't taste too bad, should taste like a bunch of CHICKEN...
Later- and everybody have a safe trip to ALA. Benjie Wright
Big Papa Smurf 04-18-2008, 01:14 AM If I even see that Pinto that you drive Benjie get near my smurf-mobile it will be walmart city for you my friend. Being that I am Big Papa Smurf I will need a lot of racing room so when I come up behind you (to lap of course) you will need to give at least 3 lanes cause my smurf-mobile may just wash out and I would hate for the Pinto to be destroyed, If that happened then there would not be endless butt kickings going on all day long.................and that makes Big Papa Smurf very saddddddd :( JUST SHUT UP AND BRING IT ALREADY!!
(hope everyone is doing well including you Benj :) hope all have a safe trip to ALA. Look forward to a great racing season with everyone, and you to Benjie. See you in Bama baby)
Benjie Wright 04-18-2008, 06:52 PM ya better be quiet, i think i hear a bunch of coyotes circling you papa smurf. They are looking to get there choppers in yah'll little blue people. Of course don't get mad, if you will play fair we will let a smurf car finish in the top twenty. maybe. Later Benjie Wright=ONE MAN TEAM=MR. PHENOM
COYOTE 04-20-2008, 01:03 AM It's a full moon tonight, and the Song Dogs are howlling........ Hope all you guys havea safe trip here to Alabamy.......... looking for a great weekend of racing with you guys. its always a fun weekend when we all get together and race each other.......See you guys at LPR on Friday or Satruday........... and bring some food......the dogs are hungry.
Coyote
Benjie Wright 04-20-2008, 02:36 PM Just be thinking of all the smurf sandwiches you will be eating come friday. Little mustard, relish, chilli and a shot of tequilla to wash them down and then keep them down with a ALABAMA SLAMMER. Later=Benjie Wright=MR. PHENOM
Benjie Wright 04-22-2008, 10:24 PM Well it is only a little over two days until them smurfs hit alabama, and look how quiet they are. I'm trying to tell you guys they are up to no good. When a smurf shuts up, then you can bank on it, They are sceaming up some no acount plan to completely upset our racing world. They may have anything planned in there tiny little minds. Most of it can just be deleted, because it has no chance of working, but occasionaly they get lucky and hit upon something, and they go to giggling at each other and get it in there mind they are genuises. So always remember it's heads up when you see one, but if you see two hit the panic button and hope someone else will come and help you out. Be really alert though if you see Papa smurf and OLD#3 looking at your car, your best bet if you encounter this is to just build a new car.Because they have probably put the BLUE CURSE on it and it will be no good to you after that. Just remember always use the most extreme caution when you are surrounded by little blue people who giggle alot.
Later, Benjie Wright=MR.PHENOM
