I need to know when you guys plan on arriving at the track. I will be there Friday, but need to know how early to get there and have it open. I do not live 3 minutes from the track anymore, so it takes a little more planning.

8:00 A.M. is fine. I will plan on having the track gates open no later the 8:00 A.M. on Friday. Looking forward to racing with all the guys again.

I will be therre most of the day. The yard man is suppossed to be there early Friday morning and cut and blow the track. I will make sure the blower is available though.

Well the rain didn't come and the the field was hot. RD was the one to beat all weekend. Just lady luck hurts a little. Congrats to everyone and we had fun. The Pinto blowed out a rear end this last race. Lucky the the tank didn't burst and blow up on loe BW.. LOL.

Thanks to all you guys for making the trip to LPR. It was another hot weekend for racing. But, it always is when we all get together. Cant wait to get back to the Bowl next month.......kind of brings tears to ones eyes........ so many memories and now going back. The racing was fast and as close as ever. Lots of trading paint and decals. Congrats to both Brian and Kevin on their wins....and to Roger for setting a new LPR track record with a 5.11 lap in the third qualifier. I dont remember ever seeing as much passing in the corners as i saw Saturday. Racingi with you guys is awesome....see you at the Bowl.

It was a bad day for THE PHENOM. Although he did'nt burst a tank this time, he did have an overall bad day. Lady luck was nowhere to be found, Just a lot of Blue. There was however a couple of dogs that were running good, until they mysteriously came down with the SMURF CURSE. Just ask Scott, a motor with well over 2000 laps on it in a car that was really quick through practice and qualifiers, just all the sudden right before the main event locked up a motor. Was it coincidence or sabbatoge? But hats off to Kevin and Brian with there wins in the mains. Old # 3, just did not have all the blue chemistry behind him this time, Hang in there #3, it can't hurt but so much having the newest member of team smurf whoop ya. As for team Coyote, they were having a real good weekend with two cars having some good runs,but it was there sleeper that made a showing for them on this weekend,Congrats to Tim on his good finishes in the mains. As far as the Phenom, well he is already speculating a phenominal 1st place showing at the bowl, providing the SMURF CURSE does'nt get him. As for the Smurfs themselves they looked really cute getting there picture taking with there new mascot after the race. As for naming the Mascot, well lets just say i can think of a few names for the little fellow. But overall, the first race of the 08 GASCAR season went well with good weather and the great hospitality that is so abundant at Montgomery Alalbama. Thanks Phenom, for those kind words. Yeah, Scott smoked his motor on ignition just before liftoff of the second main. He had his Coyote really running up to that point. Lucky for Scott, that was his oldest motor, with so many laps on it that the motor case is worn smooth from so much handling....... but, you can't keep an old Dog down....or is it that you cant teach an old dog new tricks? Scott had a good car, along with Jason..........just lady luck didnt smile on them this particular weekend. I reckon she likes the color Blue much better........lol. Dont look back, Smurfette, the dog will bite you in the butt........

It was a GREAT weekend, well except for the mains for me that is.

The Coyote was running real well and I got her on the outside of the front row, but that was as good as it got. It took some pretty heavy damage in the first main and while I was testing it for the second one the motor let go.

Congrats to the KSG crew on their wins.

It was some GREAT competition and the people can not be beat.

These are indeed the best racers to be around. If you guys really want to be around a great bunch to race against, I invite you to attend a GASCAR event.

GASCAR -- SECOND TO NONE!!

I would like to start off by saying Congradulations to Brian and Kevin for the wins in the twin 200 mains. I wish I could have been there in the end for the 2nd 200 but as luck would have it my throttle servo busted on lap 178 and my day was done. The racing was great all day Saturday and I enjoyed racing with everyone. This was my 1st trip to Lagoon and it will NOT be my last. I had a great time. I will be at the Sugar Bowl (Also my 1st time there) for the second GASCAR race of the season and I hope to see all of you there. By the way PHE-NAM I didn't see the Pinto up front, I don't think the Smurf Curse got you this time, well maybe you can find some Gemlin, Pacer or even some Vega parts and put that mean machine back together (Just kidding Benjie) Lastly thanks to Tim and all the Coyotes for the hospitality. Your right Phenom, The fastest car doesnt win all the time. Always got to have alittle luck and that I did not have. 1 turnmarshall should have went to the emergency room but thankful he was ok, just alittle shocked i think and alittle blood on the elbows and probably a swollen ankle. But hey we'll getem next time. But that #3 was on a rail son. hehehehe. Once again thanks to all who put this event on at lagoon park. Tim and Scott, super job. Congrats to Maverick Smurf and Honk Wagon Smurf for covering the front door to the wins in both mains and Big Papa Smurf for his good runs also. Later guys see ya at the bowl.
