View Full Version : Anyone know anything about the upcomming Star Wars TV Series? Old_McDonald 03-21-2008, 03:54 PM The first episode airs on the first week of April. The new CG animated Clone Wars will premiere with a theatrical release of the first two or three episodes on August 15. Then the series will begin it's regular run in September on Cartoon Network. The live action series isn't even slated to begin airing episodes until ate '09 or '10. Battlestar Galactica does begin airing the first ten episodes of its final season on the SciFi Channel on April 4. Maybe that is what you was a thankin' about. I only heard of a new Star Wars TV series that was going to start airing after the Spike TV movie marathon in April. Know anything about it's topic as a series? Before/after the skywalker/solo timeline? Zombie_61 03-23-2008, 02:13 AM I haven't heard anything about this either. I've seen the promos for the Spike marathon of the six films, but nothing after that until the Clone Wars theatrical release and series in August as Martin mentioned, then the live action series currently scheduled for 2009. Jim NCC1701A 03-23-2008, 05:03 AM Wasn't there also meant to be a box-set six-disc special addition to the Special Edition with extra scenes added coming out last September? El Gato 03-24-2008, 12:14 AM ^ No, you're thinking of the new re-imagined re-special special 7 disc Special Edition, with new deleted scenes, new re-created scenes, new re-enacted scenes and new SPFX that George insists he always wanted to insert into his 1997 Special Edition but he didn't have the money/technology to do it when he @#$$%& the Trilogy 11 years ago. The 7th disc includes never before seen behind the scenes footage of Lucas sitting in his desk dreaming of other timeless classics he can make better with digital technology if only he is given the opportunity to do so. sbaxter 03-24-2008, 08:40 AM The 7th disc includes never before seen behind the scenes footage of Lucas sitting in his desk dreaming of other timeless classics he can make better with digital technology if only he is given the opportunity to do so.Sounds like he needs to come here and post, as that's what we spend a lot of our time doing. ;) Qapla' SSB Carson Dyle 03-24-2008, 04:50 PM Yeah, the big problem with Lucas is that he hasn't contributed enough to pop culture. 68 year-old slackers make me sick. sbaxter 03-24-2008, 09:27 PM 68 year-old slackers make me sick.Well, he's actually only 63 (born May 14, 1944) — feel any better? ;) Qapla' SSB El Gato 03-24-2008, 11:30 PM Yeah, the big problem with Lucas is that he hasn't contributed enough to pop culture. Nobody ever said anything about Lucas' contributions to pop culture. My beef is that he can't leave it alone after he's done it. gourounaki 03-29-2008, 10:04 AM I could never understand why he threw out those glorious dogfight shots but left in the unconvincing close Death Star surface pov flybys - which made me wince even as a kid! Carson Dyle 03-29-2008, 11:49 AM Stick around, he's not done yet. Yeah, that's the one. So it's a baker's half-dozen. My bad ;) Has a release date been announced for it yet? Or is it already out and I just haven't noticed..? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
