Cool!

The film's director is Joe "Star Wars" Johnston. Make of that what you will, but I love the make-up.

Yes, good makeup. But, no, I make little good of Johnston as director. His only two pluses are The Rocketeer and October Sky...and I never even got around to watching October Sky. I do not have a desire to see more from the director of Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji, and Jurassic Park III.

Get around to watching October Sky. You won't regret it.

Roger that. There's a rental shop just down the road, maybe they'll have it.

Yeah, October Skies is easily Johnston's best film. One gets the feeling he managed to connect emotionally to the material -- something which seems to have eluded him on his other directorial efforts.

Yes, indeed. Rocket Boys (the original title of October Sky) is an excellent film. I agree that it is by far Johnston's best directorial work. If you haven't seen it, you're really missing out.

Oops.

I always seem to make that mistake, lol. The original title got stuck in my head, and I can't seem to shake it.

Whichever title you go by, it's a flick worth checking out.

One thing I failed to mention earlier, is if you look at the letters in the title October Sky, you'll see that it is actually an anagram of the original title, Rocket Boys.

As you can see:

I'll quaditto that. October Sky is low on the public's radar screen as a must see film, but they're totally missing out.

Back OT, that makeup is a good nod to the traditional Lon Cheney look. I'm glad the make up artists didn't want to revolutionize the old look, a la Godzilla.
