Wall Twp. Speedway, where Martin Truex Jr. cut his teeth racing, will not open this year. It is falling by the developer's bulldozer. Aside from a 1/7 mi. that they only race midgets in Atlantic City, Wall was the only paved oval track in the state. In the 60s and early 70s Trenton NJ was a regular stop in the Nascar Cup series now there isn't even a paved oval in the state! I guess the land is too valuable and attendance just doesn't make it.

Support your local tracks before they too are just a memory!

We used to own a house in Point Pleasant and during the summer we would hit Wall every Saturday night. I have some great memories of that place. Summertime, Jersey Shore, Cold Beer & those Jersey Girls = some great memories. FWIW - I saw Charlie Daniels at Trenton in the early 80's.
