Hello, New to the board I am, I was surfing the net, looking for the best sale price on the M2 series A & B cars when I happened upon your site, interesting site. I am also a member of several other diecast sites that I do visit daily. OK, my specific question to you fellows here on Hobby Talk. How do the M2 new series A & B stack-up against the Impala parade or the classic gold series by Johnny Lightning, for their quality, over-all appearence, price, etc.? I've noticed that the M2 is advertised as being produced as a Limited Edition. What are the Limited Editions....5,000...50,000...500,000...?
Where can I find the best price For the M2 ? best I've found so far is 57.95 (all 12 cars)with free shipping. Thanks for the help guys!!!!

Welcome to HT! There are a great bunch of people here.

For my $, the new Auto-Thentics are the finest 1/64 cars I've seen. (I'm a sucker for '50s iron.) Mine came from the vendor who offers the deal you mentioned. Less than $5 a car and free shipping in the U.S. is very fair! Don't forget to check out the HT diecast sponsors too.

I havent opened up mine yet , but they look excellent . The 51 Ford looks out of proportion though ... I got my set from Milezones ...

I bought my set from Milezone's, too, and I love 'em. Very good quality & realistic detailing.

One thing to watch out for, though: One of my Chevy's taillights fell off; luckily I saw it on the shelf and glued it back on. So test the little chromed plastic parts to make sure that they are all securely attached to your cars.

These are great, though, and I can't wait to see and buy more colors of these castings, plus whatever new castings of stock '50s American cars that they are going to make.

M2s are quite a bit better than JLs (8 to 6 on a scale of 1 to 10), better than GLs (8 to 7 on a scale of 1 to 10), and a give and take with HW old legend line in that the HW are slightly more precise, but less detailed than the M2s (8 to 8 on a scale of 1 to 10).

Thanks for the tip.

I'll second that! These new Auto-Thentics are real gems. The next 'stock' releases (E and F) will reportedly have 3 new castings. A convertible or two would be nice to see. :)
