Hello Guys,
Jackson RC Racing located in central new jersey (about 15 min from great adventure/six flags) is a non-profit club track run by volunteers. Until this upcoming outdoor season we have been a TC track only with a permanent layout. At the end of last season the track was freshly paved and is smooth like glass, smooth enough that guys run 12th scale pan cars on a road course. With the new pavement we also use a new border system that allows us to make layout changes and the track is seriously considering running OVAL!!! maybe once/twice a month is there is a demand out there
so how many oval guys are in the area that would come out a couple of times a month to race oval . . .also the race day would be sunday with gates open at 8am and racing starting at noon, we race TC on saturday nights starting at 4pm
you can check out some pics on the rctech.net racing forum thread jackson rc 2008
hope to see many of you in the pits soon!!!

I'de come for oval BUT Saturday's are better for me comming from Baltimore. That and if road and oval were both on Saturday I could run 1/10th oval and 1/12 road the same day. I have a buddy who might do the same. I have been to a couple of tracks in PA that run both the same day and they can change the track from one to the other in about 3 to 5 minutes. I know this lessens the road cource as far as layout but it can be done.

i met with some other guys tonite that help at jackson and this was an idea that was brought up and it is what we are going to do, if the turnout gets big and makes the program too long we might give the oval guys sundays
the track plans to open sat. april 5th first heat goes off at 4pm
hope to see you in the pits!!!

Cool deal now if the weather works with us it looks like a strong possibility of showing. Could you send me more info via PM ??? Directions or an adress to or for the track would be cool. Those and what extra stuff we would need to bring-tables chairs and such. Class rules would also be a good thing. I plan on running either 4 cell stock or 13.5 on the oval and 1/12 stock (maybe 19 turn) on the road cource.

thanks for the interest in jackson, i will post here so all can see

as far as classes go right now the plan for TC is to run classes as ROAR is now

stock 27t brushed/17.5

superstock 19t brushed/13.5/10.5

Open Mod-is anyone wants to run it

12th scale: will prob be 19t/13.5/10.5 . . .stock may be a little slow on the large track not a 100% on the motor rule yet for 12th so dont quote me on that

Right Now the plan for oval is:

13.5 brushless and a
spec NasTruck class using the trinity spec motor (with red endbell) and and F brush with spring of choice and spec 4 cell pack

Oval rules are very open right now and will pretty much be up to the oval guys but that is the plan to start

Directions: if you type in
2 solar ave
jackson nj 08527

into any GPS or yahoo maps that should get you there it is right off of county line rd jackson right next to a Italian american club and firestone gas station

what to bring the usally

Eazy-Up
Table/Chair
ext. cord

hope this helps

i would say 10am the latest, however we are going to have to figure out a practice schedule with running on-road and oval the same day

Maybe switch the track over on the 1/2 hr ????? Like maybe starting at 11 AM the track is set one way and then at 11:30 it get changed to the other. Just a thought being offered.

i was thinking the same thing maybe on the hour though, that would be a lot of changes during the day

maybe close practice in the 50 of each hr 10 min track change and open up again on the hour

ie track opens at 10am practice till 10:50 am and new layout opens at 11 am

like i said not really sure yet, but def. open to some ideas

Well there was Seaford but it looks like they are not running this summer. Then there's Willow Mill near Harrisburg PA. The Mill is 1/2 hr closer to me than seaford and an hour and a 1/2 closer than your track. It looks to be about a 3 hr drive from here. I'm hoping to have some with me but you know what they say about a horse and water.

Darn I was hoping for either stock or 19 turn. I have never bought a mod motor.
