i thonk you can run 2wd's against touring sedans, im not sure though.

do you think the parking lot is smooth enough for 2wd?

I am going to move the Track Talk discussions back to the regular areas. The split has made both areas less active at this point doesn't seem to be helping very much. As long as they are active they will still be easy to find and you can bookmark this discussion if you like to make it even easier to find.

It was a good experiment that just doesn't work well in practice.

We set up the on-road track on Saturday and we shall have our first race on August 3, 2002. This coming Saturday the 27th we are going to race on Dirt! We need people to help Rusty get the track in good shape this week. ~Lisa~

OT for me on saturday.Hopfully this rain helps the track.Might race on-road at Htown Sunday.There were 8 to 10 trucks running street trim last Sunday,I'll try to get them to come race off-road with us at Streams one saturday.

I didn't get to race Sat. I had to move into the new house. So what happened?

I had to work OT and looks like more of it to come.I ran my truck at hobbytown on Sunday. I got a blue ribbon in A main.Parking lot is cool will be getting a TC3 soon.I told them to come try the dirt out.

i won truck, shane was second, ryan craig in his new ASSOCIATED T3 was third, right behind shane

If only my T3 handled as well as my XXXT or my XXXT was as bulletproof in the tranny as my T3. Damn I wish the wide footprint T4 was available.

I ran buggy instead of truck again. Just trying to look as slow as possible. ;) Buggies are quite humbling for me. Especially with that 10 triple. :eek:

I think Josh won Big Air, too. Cleared the pipe past the big tabletop about three or four times running a 9 turn in his buggy.

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but Associated trucks seem to run real well at Stream. :devil:


I hear they have nice diffs, too.

Does Josh run Losi?If so does he get diff trouble like Keene?

do any of you have an idea of a good backyard basher buggy.

josh runs losi--he doesnt normally have diff troubles unless clarence builds his diff. Keene's diff troubles are a little more than normal, i do believe. In the time i had my losi, i had to rebuild once, and after that it worked fine. I did use the MIP thrust bearing kit though.

Hey TC3 owners.I got my eye on a used TC3 without the droop screws, I think its a older racer kit.I'm new to the touring car seen.Do I need droop screws or is this a fine tune adjustment.I think I cought the asphalt bug.

they are a nice feature, but you can add them later with a new chasis and new A-arms. If your like me you will break a couple of A-arms anyway learning to drive the thing.

droop screws do the same thing as shock limiters

oh yea.Hobbytown had about 59 racers..28 stk sedan.....14 mod sedan...12-15 nitro sedan.....and some trucks.....i think Streams onroad turnout will get much better......not many people knew about it today.i tried to spread the info....ive heard Streams parking lot is really nice and smooth....and it asphalt...kinda new i heard...need to work on spreading info over on this side of the water...see ya soon......... We haven't run on-road yet, but we have the layout pretty dialed in, We'll have wooden barriers all the way around.... No fire hose. The layout is fairly fast and smooth. We'll start off with a stock tc class, and probably a nitro tc class. Hopefully turnout will be good and we'll run some mod soon too. We'll have alot of asphault newbies (myself included). I've only done it on the rug. :rolleyes: We'll have a few total tc newbies as well.

I'm hesitant to say spread the word, because we'd like to run a race or two to work all the bugs out. I'd hate to see fifty people show up, and us have computer problems etc... Basically I don't want people to come by on our first week and say Stream doesn't have their act together, etc....

Once we figure out whatever the issues are and we correct them, we'll be great. I don't think it'll be a stretch to say that after a few weeks of running and bug squashing, Stream will have the best tc racing on the Peninsula AND Southside. Period.

Well I should be back on the dirt Saturday. My moving to our new house has been completed. I found most of my stuff, so I just have to rebuild my diff either tonight or tommorow. See you guys then.

I really enjoyed racing on-road this weekend, reminded me of my old 1/12 scale days. I will have that TC3 rolling next time.
