Are the Quick Draw shocks the same as the Lightning shocks? I like the metal shaft guide of the Quick Draw and the DynaShox. Are the Lightning Shocks the same?

i was hopeing someone knew the answer to this question

I know the dyno shocks are not the same as a Lightning. Never seen a Quick draw shock. i was hopeing someone knew the answer to this question

Jeff....the QD is real similar to the DynoShox .......the biggest difference being the nylon piston. It may have a little longer body as well.

What are the rules for shocks? Could not find in rule book.

Scott: Don't know about Associated, Losi or any of the other smaller scale mfgs. I have some 7wt. forkoil by Bel-ray. They also make 5wt. but I did not buy any of that. If you don't want to buy a quart bottle from a dealer iIcan shoot you a smaller bottle if you like.

Thanks Fred, but I too have the fork oil in 7 wt. I thought I remember seeing 5wt by Trinity or someone back in the day.

associated used to have 5 wt. haven't cked lately. since thunder tiger took over.

Amsoil makes a 5# and a 10# shock oil, works great
and only cost is about $ 10.50 a quart.....
