On wifes puter now :freak: Last evening was working on mine screen went black
looked over at tower. The on / off switch had turned to a bright yellow from normal green pulled plug from back stuck back in same yellow glow nothing working. This morning pulled side off tower and plugged back in green light glows on mother board and fan on board runs for maybe a second and shuts off. ANY IDEAS :confused:

Also the fan under the power supply didn't turn on at all.( I don't know if it should or not) anyway I NEED HELP. :rolleyes:

It's an old gateway computer however have had it updated all along now have or had XP on it.

If the PSU fan didn't turn on, I'd say it died, and overheated the PSU.

It could simply be your power supply failed, they don't last forever and I run across bad power supplies all the time.

A guy at my work found the problem my Graphic Card is fried. :freak:
