Seems Sam and me are sharing magnets, we keep attraching each other. (REVERSE POLARITY!)

At the horn I took the lead, Brad hot on my tail, traction rolled about lap three in turn 3-4, got restarted and then is when things get fuzzy!

I know I got pointed wrong way in 3-4 and the marshall didn't turn me around. I didn't have enough steering to make a hard right with all the traffic (well I could of!) so I slammed the car into the wall in front of the marshall and John finally got me pointed in the right direction.

After that it was a free for all. I was several laps down as was Sam. Seem our nerves (MAGNETS) just kept clicking and we tangled. Bullit had two laps on the field by then, dodging the mayhem, be it skill or luck, he made it thru. Late in the race I had to hit the brakes to NOT runover Brad who I knew was many laps ahead of me, ended up putting someone (Tom Collet?) into turn four wall/ice. Sorry but I knew Brad was way ahead of me and I was about to take him out.

THAT SAID......why wasn't it 7 in a B main with two bumpups making it 8 in the A Main?

I know, it was a test. I understand MAJOR events have 8-10 cars in each heat, 13 is an odd number. No major damage to the cars, I suffered a broken body post in a tangle with Sam, but thats it.

13 car ROC Field, wish the car count was like this every weekend.

1-- I think Bullit had a lot of skill to outlast everyone!

2-- you arent use to racin that many cars as much as you were use to.

3-- it increases your skill level to race with that many!

4-- it was fun to watch you get put into the wall...lol

I suffered a major dent in the hood of my car! I need body work!!! Where's Tony!!!

Eric L

Eric,

You are taking this too serious, we are just racing toy cars for fun (I think). That's one of the problems with a points series. You tend to race the top number on the spreadsheet instead of racing each week for the fun and enjoyment.

I want to thank everyone, last night was a lot of fun. The main was a little messy, but hey, this is a ROC class. Even the pro's get a little messy, like someone pulling a fast one on the start and being put into the wall on the next turn, THAT WAS SLICK!

Racers can bring toys for a discounted race fee.. or two toys for a discounted race fee and a free second class to race...

We should run our normal classes
10.5
17.5
R.O.C
legends
Sliders

and then we can have a run what ya brung type of class.. with sedans trucks or any other kind of vehicle that is safe to be ran on the carpet.. (no buggies* Exposed shock towers may put a hole in the carpet) just make sure the cars are clean and have no jagged edges.. if was can get this a go id also like to get a local new company involved with the event and plug it on the news.. or something ( ive seen a new plug spot on youtube for a rc track) i can get a digital flyer made up and pass it around on the forums lets see how packed we can get the pits. and even a spectators area would be nice to see also with a few people in it.......

here's the link to the youtube video

Will be a lean Xmas for quite a few.

I remember my old job of choice we held a Christmas Party 2 days b4 and they had a representative of the MARINES come and accept what donations we had. I trust someone will look into it to c what all is involved to help out with this.

Its Official the Toy-for-tot's race is a GO one question for you (everyone) which date would be best for the race to be held on. December 13th or December 20th?????? With being 5 days away from Christmas i think some of the racers may have travel plans. And not enough time to race. So ill be the first to say im voting for December 13th.

Also as of Today i have some sponsors on board with us for this race. one right now being Proline/protoform.. and BSR racing tires of course threw out the week i will be working on getting more sponsorships, So we can have Raffles and prizes for finishing first in the A-main.

Also Remember this is all for a good cause.. I mean with the Economy in the shape its in some kids wont be able to have the Christmas they want to have and by us doing this race we can help those kids.

This is a note directly from the toy-for-tots Cincinnati Branch

Acceptable Toys to Donate
The Marines will accept any new, unwrapped toy that is appropriate for children up to age 13. The toy must be new with a minimum $10 retail value, in its original packaging and not wrapped or decorated.

Toys Not Acceptable for the Toys for Tots Program
The Marines will not accept used or second-hand toys or toys that have been removed from their original packaging. Similarly, plush or stuffed dolls (i.e. Beanie Babies) that are not sold in a box or carton cannot be distributed.

Toys are transferred to many locations and handled by any number of people before they reach a childs’ hands. Plush toys can get worn or dirty in this handling if they are not protected and the Marines do not want to give a child a dirty toy that may looked used. Toys received that are unacceptable to Toys for Tots will be discarded or donated to other social service organizations, depending on the toys’ condition

hmmm.... December 20th would be the ending of the ROC Points race...DOUBLE POINTS RACE TOO!

However, Due to Holiday Travels maybe the 13th could be a good date as well

dang I'm undecided....Amy says the 13th...gave me a good reason...

I'm gonna say the 13th too....

come on folks....

we need to vote on a date...

put your input on here if you planning on racin

From what I understand....there will be Hot Dogs and Chips available for $2.00

so...what will it be 13th? or 20th?

Just to make it interesting ROC....if we pick the 13th...doubling the points
again was suggested.

...so there's food, fun, ROC entertainment, ...and clean restrooms!!!

all that's missing....is ....hmmmm lets see....oh yeah!;

yes, the scale used at our track we race at reads lbs/ounces, but someone coming in from out of town might decide to strip the car down thinking they only need to be 2.06 lbs, then have to add ALOT of weight back on once they are found to be illegal and have a qualifier OR WIN tossed out.
