Hi
Well yesterday afternoon I went for a "road trip" up north from my place to check out some local dealers. First stop was the John Deere dealer. I went though the Premires they had and came across a muddy "G". I passed on buying the muddy "G" as I felt I did not need a 2nd one in my collection. Then I hit the road again and drove about 15km to a New Holland dealer in a neibouring town. I decided to stop and check out the toy section they had. As I was viewing the toys, I noticed they had the 1/64th New Holland T9060/T8050/T7050 set on the shelfs. There were 2 stacks. I thought it would not hurt to see if a "muddy" set was floating around, since I knew they were randomly inserted in the cases and destributed through the dealers. I checked the first stack and ALL were clean. I then looked at the second stack.... and low and behold was a "muddy" set of the T9060/T8050/T7050. I picked it up to dubble check and it was indeed the muddy set!! I could not let this set go, so I headed to the parts counter to pay for it. The partsman saw my big grin on my face, so I explained about the randomly incerted muddy sets... He then showed it to another partsmen and it was the first time they had seen this set. So I bought it for $28.00 Canadian( which was retail price in Canada). I then told the partsmen that I had seen a simular set sell on ebay for over $200.00 a few months back. He was speechless. As I was leaving I over heard them speaking: "Next time we better dubble check the toys that come in". I did check to see if their was a 2nd muddy set but no luck. I was thankful for even finding it, so I was happy.
On my way home, I also stopped at a CIH dealer, and they had the Premire Series on the shelf, so for the fun of it, I looked threw it, and to my delight I found my first Case IH MUDDY: An STX 530!! The CIH Clean premires are hard to find let alone the muddy versions in my area so I had to pick it up!! I was delighted and it was a great trip... well worth the gas money LOL.
