Back when KITT was first revealed to be a Mustang, I did this Photoshop of what he could've looked like as a Camaro:

A few days ago, I'm going through Wal-Mart and find this:

It even had the same blacked-out wheels. All I did was add the scanner, paint the grille recesses, and remove the "Dub City" from the rear window.

this is what they should have done for the show anyway.... at least it's the re-embodiment of the F-bodies.... not a Firebird but damn close.

But then it would be inferior...GT500KR or Camaro? Doesn't take me a second to decide that one

GM should have built a one off Firebird using the Camaro as a starter for the show to get a feel for the demand for a real Firebird.

Probably would not have been a bad idea Wyatt

Yes that Camaro would make a good come back for K.A.R.R against the GT500.

As long as Putz is in charge, no Bird for us Bird lovers.
He is going to retire in 2010.
Keep your fingers crossed!
On ebay, I have seen a resin kit for converting the new Camaro to the Firebird that Kevin Morgan designed.
I need to get that kit!

The last rumore I herd was a new Firebird in 2011 depending on how the sales did on the new Camaro.

Ya,
Putz said that Chevy can push 100,000 units.
At first, they were all going to be V-8s.
Dealerships started saying not much traffic coming in, asking about the car.
They are not sure they can push that many.
Then, after that, Putz says that the new Camaro will have a V-6 engine.
Now, he said the car will also come with the Eotec 4 with a turbo.
If Chevy can't move 100,000 units, there is a really good chance that Pontiac will get to join in the fun with a new Firebird.
I got this info from taking with some Pontiac reps at SEMA this last year.
So, I hope Chevy can't sell that many cars.
Does that make me a bad person?

George
