Well, it's time to start thinking about the great outdoors, yep, the concrete season is upon us. The classes will be 4-cell 13.5 brushless (novak brushless motor only), and spec truck with the "F" brush. I think there might even be a 12th scale class in the works too, but whatever the class is if there are 3 I'll run the class. We will be running on Friday nights with a start time of 8:00pm, It will be 2 5min heats with 5min mains. We will have a warmup race on Friday May 2nd and the first point race will be Friday May 9th. We will also have our regularly scheduled Sunday races as well. In June it will be the "Trax70 Gamblers Run", in July it will be the "Garden State Oval Championships", and in August we'll finish off the summer with our "Paul Heitz Memoiral Race". We will have a practice race each Sunday before each of our big races. Sundays will be 3 4min heats and a 4min main. I will have dates and more info for the Sunday races soon. Any question please post, pm, or email me Charlie@Trax70.com

Chuck, I don't run any shims under the front lower arms and #3 ride height adjusters in the rear and my rear pod looks broke it has so much droop. Long wheel base too.

George, looking foward to seeing you and those ruffyins you run with. Bring the easy button.

Charlie, I'm using the IRS lower arms. I figure that would be a bit high.

With Dave's arms use both of the spacers that come in the package, which I think they come with 2 small and 2 big ones, so it would be 1 of each under each arm and that will give you the same ride height as the associated ones. If you need extra spacers let me know I have some.

How about a 17.5 class (no lipo) It was the second biggest class at marshalls by end of season after me and steve started it! I have a feeling it could be the second biggest class at Trax70 because its close to brushed stock motor speed. Let the lipos run in the 10.5 class that is closest to open mod class!

04-14-2008, 02:01 PM
lipo/21.5 might be the way to go..........

Goodwrench29
04-14-2008, 10:12 PM
Well, we kicked around the idea of 17.5 but alot of the guys liked the speeds of the 13.5 so we decided to stick with that. If you have a few guys that have 17.5 cars that can bring them out, I'd like to see the speeds of the 17.5 compared to stock. That might be a class that we can run together.

We are only scheduled to run 1 more Sunday that being the 27th of April then we switch over to Friday nights on May 2nd with the point series starting on May 9th.

Would love to support my old buddies race ....Just need to move it back 1 week SRM Good to hear from ya Rocket. Unfortunatly, August is a busy month for me and a few of the guys who help me and the 10th and the 17th were the only weekends we could come up with. The 17th is one weekend I'm prayin for sunny skies.

Goodwrench29

Charles, does that mean no regular Sunday racing ? :( We left the Sunday deal for the off-road guys except for the Sundays of our big races, that's when they have their off weekend. The Sundays that we have a practice race before the big events they will run their regular races.

Well Fridays fighting the traffic after work is just too much.........:(

Anytime72
04-16-2008, 06:49 AM
Charlie I will agree with George on the traffic. With no ORL series this year and local tracks (the few there are) getting the chance to possibly have a stronger weekly crowd Sunday could be better than previous years. I can't make Friday's except for a one or two.

Goodwrench29
04-17-2008, 08:45 PM
Just a reminder that we'll be opening the track this Sunday. I will be there at 8am and racing starts at 12:00pm.

George(not Jorge,LOL)and Walter, I totally understand where you guys are coming from with the traffic deal. We'll play by ear and see how the season progresses, maybe we could add a Sunday here and there between the big races.

It was better than I expected, I got down to a 6.2's and 6.3's. The track temp was only 64 degrees. It's only gonna get faster as the weather comes around:thumbsup:. We're running this Sunday, this will be the last Sunday before we switch to Friday nights.

You need to hold onto that car to race the Sunday races we have in June, July, and August. Also, we are probably going to run a Sunday in May.

Turn4RC, those guys had a blast at the Herbie race, they were amazed that there's a big track in your backyard there!

Goodwrench29
04-30-2008, 03:15 PM
The 2 main classes are 13.5 and spec truck but if there is an interest in another class that's cool, it just takes 3 entries to make a class.

Goodwrench29
04-30-2008, 03:17 PM
I know a few of you guys have 12th scales and were kicking around the idea of trying them out, we could make that a class and call it King Boomer Super Stock.:lol:
