OK guys it’s that time again! The RC-Oval Nitro Series will get underway again with the annual race in Daytona. The first race will be with Mike Bean in Daytona International Speedway with practice on the 28th of March and racing on the 29th and 30th. LOTS to do at this race other than racing our little cars!
Pit inside the NASCAR garage! A HUGE Hot Rod and Custom Car show will be going on in the infield plus all the sites to see and things you can do at the Speedway itself. And at night ….THERE’S DOG RACING RIGHT NEXT DOOR! And did I mention that it’s also “Spring Break”………in Daytona Beach.........nuff said!
SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR!
The series is trying something different this year by adding two LiPo/Brushless classes; 21.5 and 17.5. If this pans out, we will keep it on the schedule. The purpose of doing this is the same as with the nitro Pan Cars; to help publicize that type of racing.
Because it’s new, there are a lot of people that have never seen it or are listening to the un-informed as to how bad it is. So come to one of our races and see for yourself. There is nothing that beats getting the real story first hand.
The rules for Nitro and LiPo are pretty simple and are posted on the RC-Oval site.
Carolina RC Complex (Easley) has a LOT going on this year with the ROAR Region 3 and the ROAR Nationals so because of that, the series will be visiting there more than we normally would with three races throughout the summer.
The Series also stops at C&W Raceway in Ashville, N.C. for one of the last races on this track before a new one is built in a new location. We will also go to The Grove; in Rock Hill, N.C. with one more track TBA.
So come join in on the fun this summer and race with us throughout the South East and this year you have a choice….. either Nitro OR electric!
