These are some of the Kyosho minicars I got recently. Latest Ferrari series has some great models, and the details are nice too. Although I miss at least some color in the interiors, especially because interiors are quite exposed. And I wish they had painted rear-view mirrors and exhausts. :o

I have to say I am a bit disappointed in Skyline 2000GTS-X. There are some bubbles in the paint, and the decals are not always lined-up well.

I'm really curious what series is going to be next... any ideas? ;)

Nice pictures! That's the only Audi I want to get. Haven't put any of my Ferrari V together yet, but I have looked them over and agree it's some of the best work yet. Couple have the Ferrari stallion painted on the engine. They seem to reserve painted mirrors and interior detail for the Beads. I've been thinking some of that shinny "Bare Metal" foil would make good mirror reflectives, if a guy could get it cut out right.

We should be hearing something soon on what's next. There are some Lambo's that Kyosho hasn't done yet. The second set came out 2 years after the first one, and it's been 2 years since the second set.....so maybe ????? There's the prototype Countach, the Anniversay Countach, and a couple older other ones I know of. I just don't know that much about the entire line or if there's enough models to scrounge up 8 or 10 fresh examples.

Maybe we'll see some new ground broken, like Mustangs, Corvettes, or Ford pickups. If they're going to keep themes going, seems like sooner or later they have to go there.

I have found that some people seem to obtain "rejects" from Kyosho and sell them as "mint". These are always without the box. I've gotten bad wheels, bad tires, bad paint, and bad winshields or side glass. Every single one was sold without the original box. One Porsche was completely missing the headlights. A couple sellers made good on sending me another car. Others wanted the bad car back, and didn't have a like model to exchange it with. By the time you pay return shipping with signature service, it's just not worth the risk to save a couple bucks and hope you get a good one.

I have been lucky as the 50 Kyoshos I have gotten in the past few months have been prefect. I would love to see a Lambo series.

164hack: I've always wondered why there are so many loose Kyoshos on e-bay, without box, card etc... Why would one open the package and throw away the box, when loose cars fetch significantly lower prices. What you said about the "rejects" could explain these loose cars.

Yes, R8 is the only Audi I wanted too. Other new ones just look all the same to me and I like to collect older cars. This R8 is otherwise very sweet, without any flaws and looks way better in person than in my pictures. It would be cool to see some older Audis, I think there shouldn't be a problem to pick 10 models.

I'm not sure if there are enough Lamborghinis left for another series, maybe if they included some tractors. :p I just hope there will be something fresh in the next series... Maserati would be great, american musle car series (they make Shelby in larger scales) too... we'll see.

Well I got all 10 Audi's though as both you point out the R8 was the gem of the set. I felt fortunate to get the Black R8 which is the color I really wanted.

A Rolls Royce / Bentley set would be awesome...but I don´t think so (owing to trademark issues). A Citröen set would be a hit for sure (2CV, DS, CX...), but taking in mind that Kyosho likes italian brands I think next release will be Maserati.

Here are two more I got recently:

I was looking quite some time for 3.5 CSL as it doesn't appear very often on ebay. But I really like the looks of this "batmobile".

A new BMW series could also be possible, there are many models to be done... Z1, 507, 850, M5, maybe some Alpinas, first generation M6, etc...

Don't have the 3.5 but yours looks like they did a good job on it. The driver's net is a nice touch and looks very realistic. Much better than you see on the 1/64 NASCAR stuff. You gotta love these little cars.

Hey Superbird, those two are not 1:64 are they? I am in love with that BMW IMSA car!

69stang: Yes, they are both 1/64...Bmw is very cool, they really made an excellent job with all the tampos and other details.

69stang: There was one on bay not long time ago, but I just checked and it seems they sold it. I don't know many other sources, especially for this older stuff, but maybe Henri from Tiny Toy Cars can help you. Just click on the yellow banner at the right side of the page and try to contact him via e-mail. Hope this helps. :)

Hey Superbird 77, great group of cars! I have been after the 3.5 CSL for a while too, have seen it go for well over 20 bucks, will get one of 'em ne of these days, but they are a tough find. Up next are the Porsche GT1 endurance racers. There was a thread over at MCCH concerning the Nuremburg Toy Fair that showed the Porsche racers, along with some Nissan racers and the Audi collection with that nice R* you have there.
