I would hardly call 10.5 modified. Just keep it the same as BRL.

...I am assuming we're talking about 10.5/4 cell, but we're not running any 4 cell this year (Other than a handful of guys who have battery sponsors that can't run LIPO)

For those guys - I'd have NO Problem opening it up to be run like an OPEN MODIFIED class - IF there were enough racers to support it...but right now there isn't, and we allow them to run WITH the 17.5/LIPO guys.

Our 10.5/LIPO class - I have already offered to let those guys run like OPEN MOD - and run ANY ESC. (Still only allowing the NOVAK motors at this time - and this class is VERY small, and too fast for MOST of the guys.)

katfish, WOW!!?? Looks like a whole can of worms opened up!
Lipo is a fad for now I'm sure it will settle down when the A123 become the new battery of choice.

It may well indeed turn out to be a fad, but a fad that has saved me $ in the here and now. I have spent $150 on lipos and I have been running them for 10 months and they still perform awesome. If I get to finish (no reason I can see that I can't) the '08 season with the Southwest Tour with the same batteries, sweet.

joe i just don't care about lipo in 2008! sorry i should have stated 10.5 4 cell

and yes the a123 cells look alot better than the lipo stuff...so i have hope for a even better cell with 5 volts in 2009...
