I feel a bit dumb for asking, but what type of rope/cord do you use to replace a starter pull cord?

I've been looking and there are so many options I just want to make sure that I get something that is suitable. Some cords are better suited to resist abrasion, others are stronger, some don't stretch and on and on the list goes. I am sure that I am over analyzing this whole thing, but that is what I tend to do.

Just so that you know I am replacing the pull cord on a 3.5 HP Tecumseh engine.

Any good quality braided nylon rope designed for pull starters will work just fine. Cotton rope will not last.
