Will post on both boards... couldn;t resist these 2 69 Camaros, normally don't do 1/24... thought I'd do a little pic/compare with comments... sorry, not the greatest pics...
engines... I know that the Yenko has bigger 427 motor, and I guess the black would be a 350 or 396?.. the Yenko has a distributor and realistically takes up the whole engine compartment. The black has more chrome and does have plugs wires and hoses.

... interior, obviously the GL Yenko has opening doors, the JL does not.. GL has more dash and steering wheel detail...wood grain on the wheel, and white face gauges..no gauges at all on the JL... the GL Yenko steering wheel also turns with the front wheels...cant see, but the windshield wipers are just painted on, on the GL..the JL's are separate chrome pieces

...forgot to mention, you see the color difference in the GL Yenko's roof in that last pic...big minus for the GL...the roof is all plastic.

here's another big difference.. the chassis. The GL is plastic, the JL is metal.
Can't figure out the advantage, or why JL hypes having a metal base on these bigger cars. It is twice as heavy as the GL... make sure if you put it in a display case, you get one that will support these heavy cars. Just as much detail on both bases, and it's not like yer gonna gravity race a 1/24th scale car with rubber tires...so I don't get the metal base thing. 2 other things: the steering mechanism/"tie rods" on the GL Yenko is terrible. too flexible and you can't even get the tires to sit straight for displaying. ..On the JL, has the same detail on the exhaust system but then...when it get to the muffler in front of the gas tank...HEY! where'd the exhaust go? no tail-pipes, no nothing..just non-existant.. JL coulda put some chrome tips to go with all the other chrome on this one.

prices;... forgot the original price on the GL Yenko, but when no-one was buying them, they put them on clearance at Meijers for 9.99....plus I had a coupon for another dollar off, so got it for 8.99 ( 2 weeks later, it would have gone down to 5.99, but doubt that this blue one would have lasted till then) The Black w/flames JL I bought as soon as I saw it at walmart.. was 13.87, I beleive.

Man, that ridiculous plastic roof on the GL ruins it for me. Some of the most attractive aspects of the Mitchell-era GM cars were the smooth roof-to-body transitions, and the first gen F-bodies are no exception. GL's approach to cost cutting compromises this model's accuracy far too much for me to ever buy it.
