View Full Version : The Emerald Forest: A Major Announcement
thuntboss 03-04-2008, 06:58 AM After a LOT of thought and consideration, I have decided that it is time to "clear cut" The Emerald Forest. I have the chance to replace my MUCH loved 1968 Ford Falcon Sports Coupe that my 1st wife ILLEGALLY sold on me 18 yrs ago. Unfortunately, the only way I can do this is to sell off a large portion of my diecast. When I decide to do something I typically do it ALL the way, so I'll be selling off ALL my diecast.
The Emerald Forest has been sold
Here is a link to my Photobucket where all my GM's can be seen and are split up by subalbum / series:

Here's a few pics of the 68 Falcon Sports Coupe that I am working on buying:

56,100 original miles. I'll be the 3rd owner.
Atencio 03-04-2008, 11:04 AM Very nice.
You sure it is a 68? I don't see any side running lights on it. Maybe a 66 or 67?
70XR7 03-04-2008, 11:53 AM Nice car, hopefully your sale will take care of buying it!
Hmmm....saw a couple BWF WL's I'm going to have to try to get in on....
masphx 03-04-2008, 02:35 PM :( only have $60 cash. I guess I will have to wait again for some of these.
STUTZ 03-04-2008, 03:29 PM Best wishes on your GM sale!
NEEKAVELI 03-04-2008, 05:12 PM I got a few dollars to spend!
FastC6Vette 03-04-2008, 05:20 PM I would do the same thing if I could get a real car I wanted. You have some high dollar $$$Green Machines$$$ in there, so you should be able to round up a nice amount of cash selling all those! Good luck with the auctions.
jedimario 03-04-2008, 05:35 PM Good luck! May you be content with the new toy :D
astroking2 03-04-2008, 07:01 PM Thanks for the post. I will be sure to check them out on Ebay.

Yup. POSITIVE that it's a '68

It must be a very early 68. I can't remember if the law went into effect with the 68 model year or Jan. 1st of 1968. It must be the later I guess based on your soon to be had car.
Your Falcon would be trick with a fuel injected small block/ 5-speed combo.
edseldave 03-07-2008, 11:21 PM It is most likely an early '68 Falcon . They had reflectors on the quarters instead of lights . There is side lights on the fenders . The square taillights make it a '68 - '70 Falcon . 66 & 67 had round taillights . I had a 69 Falcon many years ago ..
Atencio 03-08-2008, 01:44 AM Oh you are right. It was one or the other until 1970 if I remember right.
I have never owned a Falcon though I had a buddy with a 64 289 hi-po, 4-speed Sprint that I just loved.
David27 03-08-2008, 03:02 PM Thanks for the update.

Jim, it's probably going to be at least 2 possibly 3 fairly large sized boxes. I like to use PLENTY of packing, lol.
