Just wanted to hear some thoughts on some ideas I had. I'm *fairly* new to the boards here, looking to get back into racing, but just wanted to get your thoughts on this:

We currently have an inactive track that we were running Legends at. I'd like to try and help get it going again, but wanted some input.

Classes:
Novice Legends: box-stock cars, handout 27-turn motors. NO MODIFICATIONS. Spec tires, spec 4-cell batteries. 50-lap breakout (or whatever we come up with)
Pro Legends: Any stock motor, any 4-cell batteries. Any tire.
SK Mods: Box-stock SK chassis, no rear suspension changes (damper tubing only; no shocks/springs), spec tires, spec batteries. Handout 27-turn motors. (50- or 52-lap breakout)
Tour-type Modifieds: Any stock motor, pro-type Modified chassis/suspension. Any tire. Any 4-cell batteries.

Just some ideas I'm throwing out. Cuerrently, we have no place to run our Legends cars in Florida. And after seeing the Mods in action at the 'Birds, I really like those cars ;) Problem is, no one sells thenm down here, and I'd really like to support the LHS rather than buy online :\ Anyways...I'd like to hear your thoughts...

We race our Legends class at "The Track (http://www.harbor-hobby.net/index.html)" on a 100'x36' track. Layout changes slightly from week to week. Our spec'd motors are a brushed 27-turn stock or brushless 13.5(which is what ALL of our guys use). Last summer we added a "stock" class using the Mabuchi/Johnson motors, but only 3 or 4 guys tried it and it soon died. Everyone at our track likes the speed of the 13.5.

You can check out our rules at rcLEGENDS.com (http://rclegends.com/mwnx.php).

If you like the look of the SK Mods, there are some pics of Legends with mod bodies near the bottom of my "Racers' Rides (http://rclegends.com/Racers__Rides.php)" page. It's an inexpensive way to race mods.

The only think I would suggest is to get away from the brushed motors. Use the 17.5 and the Windtunnel 4 cell spec pack. If you want a really slow class you could use the 21.5 motor for the new guys.
