DJ1978 11-05-2008, 10:27 PM Just a note to let you know where we stand on the track build.
The big push is this Saturday and Sunday.
The drivers stand and handicap ramp is built and re-painted and the Windows are sealed thanks to Chris and Garrett Geiski, Ben Belote and My wife.
The dirt is in place for the major jumps and the track is layed out and ready for pipes to be placed.
Come and join the fun Saturday. Bring your vehicles to help test the jumps!!
I really think we can be completely done by Sunday evening!!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Dan

We are going to change the race program format.
We will put the Slash class earlier in the round.
We will probably run Novice, Mini, Slash, Stock Buggy, Stock truck, 4 wheel Drive Open, Open Buggy, Open Truck 1/8th scale buggy, Monster Truck and Truggy.
I Might have a Slash to rent on the next race day!!!

DJ1978 11-23-2008, 04:26 PM Great race day Saturday.
About 150 entries.
Two full heats of Slash and lots of great racing in all classes.
We finished racing kind of late. 12:20 am.... but that was with two track groom per round of racing.
Let me know what you thought about that. Is it worth the extra time?
I know it really helps keep the dust down and the traction up.
Thanks for all who helped out with the track. All the volunteer marshalls who stepped up.
Next track repair and practice is Monday December 1st at 5 pm.
Next Race Saturday December 6th.
See you there.
Dan
jasburrito 11-24-2008, 12:09 AM Had a blast. Anything to make the day shorter, I vote yes. 15 Hours is a battle of physical fatigue.Note I,ll prob only make a few races. So whatever.

Uncle E 12-04-2008, 06:51 PM I'm thinking of heading over from Grand Rapids. Any directions? How long of a drive is it from the west side of GR?
TheMayneEvent 12-07-2008, 06:18 PM 131 South to 94 East
Get off at the Ann Arbor Saline Rd Exit
Turn Right
You will come to a 3 way stop.
Make a Left
The Farm Council Grounds are on the Left just past the Light
Track is located in the building directly across from the restrooms (brick building in the middle of the parking lot).
Once again Bill Sam and Dan sent me home with the Whoop As- Trophy. Dan made his way clear of any chance of taking it home making the A-Main.
Sam, Bill, and I started 3rd, 5th, and 7th. in the B-Main and what a race it was. I told them I would take the trophy home every week if they all came down to this kind of race, but they would send me home with it any way they could.

420 Tech R/C 12-08-2008, 02:01 PM Wow, Rick ,hopefully the trophy hasnt found a home for the winter!!LOL.It was a funday of racing for sure!! With 3 heats of stock buggy the competition was good!! We just need some more mod buggy guys!!!

Another way is I-96 over to Lansing, US-127 South to Jackson, pick up I-94 east and look for the exit as described above.
There is a Motel 6 on State St just south of 94, a couple miles from the track.
Edit: correct typo for US-127

"Me, and my typos......"
420 Tech R/C 12-21-2008, 04:01 PM as usuall a fun day of racing at the barn.Got to drive a slash for the first time, all I can say is that was the most fun racing i have done in a long time!! Any class where you can go from 3rd to last and back to 3rd in a qualifier is alright in my book!!
Leonard 12-21-2008, 07:44 PM Hey Chad, those things rock. We run the snot out of them in G.R. Are you racing the 3rd ? A few of us are making the journey down there.
Leonard
420 Tech R/C 12-21-2008, 11:30 PM Yeah Leonard I will be at washtenaw the 3rd.I am going to try and make all the points series races there this year.It would sure be great to see you before the champs at battlefront in feb..I am actually trying to get acouple guys from around my area to roadtrip up to battle front for some practice the weekend of the 10th so I may get to run with you 2 weeks in a row man.
Leonard 12-22-2008, 04:22 PM Sweet man, I have never been there and am lookin forward to it. What kind of tires do run on a 2wd truck anyways?
420 Tech R/C 12-23-2008, 02:00 PM havent been running truck there this winter, but from what I can tell from others ,Holeshots, doubledees, even seen acouple guys running bar codes.I been running hole shots and double dees on my buggies, but tried the LP holeshots in R3 this week and loved them!
And slash class is pretty big there , usually 2-3 heats.
Leonard 12-23-2008, 05:00 PM Sweet, I cant wait. Maybe i'll bring the b4 instead of the t4, you runnin mod?
420 Tech R/C 12-24-2008, 01:25 AM Bring em both. It's a LONG day man!! You could run 4 classes without a problem if you really wanted to.Mod has been kinda dead of late.Mainly stock ,usually like 3 heats. But if you wanted to run 3 you could run slash, stock buggy and stock/mod truck. to help make the day go by a little. The last 3 times there has been over 20 races per round , with 3 round of qualifying and a main, so your there from 8 am till midnight easy.
Leonard 12-24-2008, 11:22 AM Wow, what time does the program start, 8 or 10?
420 Tech R/C 12-24-2008, 12:04 PM doors open at 8 racing by 10-10:30.Like I said it's a LONG day, but tons of fun.Usually 150-200 entries, but since the week you are coming down everybody is off work I expect it to be more like 200+ on entries. How many of you guys are coming?? I can save some pit space for you if you like.
Leonard 12-24-2008, 12:19 PM Yes if you could please. There will be 3 of us, me Paul and Moose. We would appreciate it.
L.
420 Tech R/C 12-24-2008, 12:36 PM SWEET!! It will be nice seeing pauly and moose too man!! Not an issue I will reserve you some pit space!! Couple things you might want to bring short extension cord (25ft.) and power strips because the oulet spacing is a little off.
Leonard 12-24-2008, 01:18 PM Cool man, I got those !!
OK,Guys I guess if I got to take the trophy home for Christmas at least I can make it blend into to the surroundings.Merry Christmas & Happy New year everyone.Oh by the way Sam you were right,as much as I hide that trophy I can still smell it.

dasupacat 01-02-2009, 06:51 AM What time have you guys been getting out on race day?
HandyRacing 01-02-2009, 08:56 AM What time have you guys been getting out on race day?
Generally, practice in the early coffee hours, driver's meeting 10:00ish
I think the website says doors open at 8:00, getting there early for a good pit table is the best plan.
DJ1978 01-02-2009, 08:30 PM What time have you guys been getting out on race day?
We have averaged over 150 entries per race and 21 heats.
We usually finish up around midnight or 12:30.
Come and join the fun!!!
Dan

HandyRacing 01-02-2009, 09:33 PM cool ,I willl have enough time to run 4 classes if I want.
I'm not wired to do the hurry up thing.
No offense intended to Al's program, but the atmoshere / people at Dan's track is like at no other.

8am to 12pm you got to be out of your mind!!!!!!
badassrevo 01-15-2009, 07:40 PM RC Pro and Caster Racing USA have temporarily joined forces to help kick off the new 1/8 electric 2009 season with a bang!
Since Caster is currently the only true electric buggy and truggy manufacturer on the market, yet are unrecognized, they offered to do a great promo that will help RC Pro and YOU!"
Caster Racing has announced that they created a promo sku for their cart that will take the Fusion race roller all the way down to $250. This is a $100 savings!! What a great way to enter the 1/8 scale electric races. This is an assembled buggy just add radio gear, speed control, motor, servo and batteries! This gives you the freedom to choose the electronics YOU want!
OR for those who want to step up to the Pro Fusion instead of the Race Roller the code will give you a $50 discount off the Pro.
Now you are probably asking yourself how this benefits RC Pro. RC Pro has decided that with proof of purchase, a person can receive a free RC Pro membership. That is right. On top of getting the fusion discounted, with proof of entry, Caster Racing will pay your RC Pro membership or membership renewal at your 1st event of 2009 ( a $20 value) as long as the buggy was purchased through Caster Racing USA.
To take advantage of this special send an email to the following and receive a code for ordering either the Race Roller or Pro on the Caster USA website. specials@rcprosites.com
