View Full Version : R1 Pro,, Any opinions/ testing PHP 02-28-2008, 08:49 PM I just got a R1 pro and I have herd alot of problems with with this unit..is it rumor or does anyone have any feedback... will the R1 pro work with the novak sensored B/L motor.. 420 Tech R/C 02-29-2008, 09:43 AM No the R1 will not run a sensored brushless. One of my buddies bought an r1 set-up just before roar anounced there rule change the beginning of feb. so now he has a high dollar speedo that is no good for running brushless spec classes.Hate to say it, but tekin needs to go with sensored tech. so there stuff can be run at events running roar rules.Man that is just a pretty pricey set-up to have around if you cant use it at every race you run. mhawk11 02-29-2008, 05:44 PM i called tekin today and was info'd to send the one i got back still in the package, tekin is workin on a sensored unit that will be out some time soon (i hope) and they will replace the R1 with the new version. disruptor10 02-29-2008, 09:20 PM a sensored unit would be nice, love Tekin stuff Hey Junior wazzz up , any dirt racin lately ? :woohoo: Fred B 03-03-2008, 10:22 AM The R1 is fine for mod. Mine runs mod motors (Novaks) just fine. The problem is with some of the higher wind motors that everyone's running now. If you're rolling out above about 2.0" you're going to have problems on startup. It's worse on 4 cell. The new RS speedo (sensored) will fix the problems. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
