View Full Version : Team TRINITY 2008
adamliehr 02-26-2008, 10:02 PM Hey guys,
I wanted to try to get a support thread going for Trinity. If you have any questions regarding the DUO brushless motors or the IB 4600's I'll do my best to answer them or find an answer for you.

Porksalot4L 02-26-2008, 10:07 PM what is trinity's rival to the novak 3.5? and is there one that trinity makes that is even faster? :)
adamliehr 02-26-2008, 10:13 PM Down that low Trinity sells a 2.5 and 3.5 on their site.
At the birds Pete and I both ran the 4.0.

Porksalot4L 02-26-2008, 10:52 PM whats the difference between the 2.5, 3.5, and 4.0? and where do they compare to the novak 3.5? im asking because i want another mod motor to run with my friends and maybe trinity's are better? thanks!
adamliehr 02-26-2008, 11:55 PM The 2.5 should in theory be faster than the 3.5 and 4.0. I haven't run the 2.5 to say if it is indeed faster. I have been bouncing between the 3.5 and 4.0. As far as speed I haven't noticed a huge difference, between them. The 3.5 will probably pull some faster times up front, but the 4.0 seems to be a little more consistent; at least for me.
As far as comparing them to the Novak, I can't give a very accurate comparison because I haven't run the Novak modified motors. The only comparison that I have has been on the track against other drivers. The best overall example would probably be the Snowbirds. I think most of the other teams were running the 3.5 motors, but Pete ran a 4.0 and Tqed and won both by a second if I remember.
I guess it depends on what speed controller you are or plan on running. The Trinity motors can be run sensored or sensorless. I was told there was some trouble running them with the GTB speedo controller, but I don't know if that is true or not. I know they work very well with the LRP TC Spec.

ericsalvas 02-27-2008, 10:21 AM correction my friend Adam...my twin bros qualified 2nd in open MOD...a mere .17sec behind Pete!
Eric Salvas
he ran a 3.5 orange motor
adamliehr 02-27-2008, 10:36 AM Thanks Eric. All I remembered was a 4:00 and a 4:01, couldn't remember the decimals.

Now lets get back on topic. Has anyone else tried the new DUO motors or 4600s? Lets see what you think?
