I am building a 12th scale brushless car, and am wondering who makes the smallest brushless esc? Will the novak mongoose handle a 17.5?, or is it a poor choice? Thanks

...if you decide to try the Mongoose - let us know your results... I've wanted to see some testing on that in 1/12th scale w/ a 17.5

As light as the cars are, and as low as the amp draw should be - it could be doable.

Swtour, I was thinking the same idea. we have quite a 12th scale following here in Pa- go figure! When I get mine I will let you know. I believe it was novaktwo that said he did not know if it would work but he also hinted that it might be possible. Stay tuned!

i think the gtb 4 cell is small but i kno people who run sphere in there 12th scale car w/ a 13.5 and they always have the lead. i think its mainly about set up so ethier the gtb or sphere is both good buys

I ran a Mamba in a 1/12 car as an experiment last year - it wasn't bad, sort of like going back about 15 years to the old Yokomo stocks and 1700 batteries. The Mongoose system should work pretty good especially since the motor shaft is 1/8" - you can run standard pinions.

thats cool, I am going to try mine with a 17.5 and see if it holds!

Charger01 - I wouldn't run the Mongoose esc with a full size motor - fabricate an addapter plate and run the Mongoose motor too!
