Our track (altoonaraceway.com) recently changed over to 13.5 pan car! For the most part we all are running GTB's. I have not had a problem with the GTB at all BUT was told that the LRP 007 or Speed Passion ESC's would outperform the GTB! One of our guys switched and claimed he picked up a tenth! Any thought or input would be greatly appreciated and Thank you in advance!

I have one of each and haven't noticed a difference in performance.

the lrp out performs everything and one reason it does is b/c its lighter. and i can 100$ say that gtb was not in all thge winners cars b/c pete d'angelo winner of the modified class runs a lrp sphere

I'm sure that's why the LRP is faster...that .2 oz on my 44 oz. car HAS to make me quicker....LOL

I have had both ESC and could not tell any difference. I know the majority of the Pro's run the Sphere, but they probably have some kind of sponsorship. I had a sphere that failed and bought a new one. Hooked the new unit up and it smoked a new 17.5 motor. I have since sold all the Sphere and have only Novak. Novak has the best customer support for the average racer.

Instead of just being 2.5oz underweight with my GTB I could have been 2.75oz underweight with a LRP! Man have I been missing the boat!

Now thats funny right there, maybe you should start naming your cars for that matter. pick up 2 tenths? lmao

most people think that the lrp is faster because it has the 6 degrees of advanced timing built into but you can compensate the advanced timing with just a simple gear change on the novak. the other really big problem with the lrp like some said above they are burning up and they are burning up motors good luck with that but i will stick with my novaks

Thank you to everyone foir your posts and help! Like I said before I was not trying to get one of those MY LST IS BETTER THAN YOUR REVO threads going, I just honestly wanted to know if the LRP had major differences from the GTB. After reading all of this I have decided to stick with my GTB!

Maybe you should dyno it with both. The Lrp provides more watts(power), that doesnt mean it translates into fast lap times (at least not all the time). Both have the same results but the Lrp seems to have more "feel" to it. I run a different rollout with my Novak stuff vs the Lrp stuff. (10.5)

Now in mod its a matter of profile settings, the LRP has beter suited settings for mod B/L, and is well known to run cooler (they have "ICE" technology?)

Pete ran a GTB & a new 10.5 that Charlie from Novak gave him to hush all the talk in his last qualifier.He actually increased his TQ time in that round so that throws your theory out the window.....
