View Full Version : Eureka ??
Old_McDonald 02-24-2008, 01:02 PM The Scifi channel has announced that it's "most watch series" Eureka has been re-newed for a third season.
Will they ever market their "most watched series"?
These people really scare me. They don't show re-runs of their most watch show, don't rush it to DVD, instead they show ECW crap
AZbuilder 02-24-2008, 02:09 PM Yeah, What does ECW have to do with Sci-Fi ?? I mean it is all scripted made up trash. With all the old Sci-Fi T.V. shows and movies of the last 50 years or so to choose from the Sci-Fi channel shows us stuff that is unrelated to the Science Fiction Catergory.

Jim NCC1701A 02-25-2008, 06:02 AM ECW? Which is what, pray tell? Just for those of us not in the know...
xr4sam 02-25-2008, 07:34 AM Saw Eureka Season 1 on DVD at Borders yesterday. I didn't notice a price, though.

I bet it had one, though.

Woo Hoo! Great news, especially considering that I missed out on about five episodes of the second season!
Will they ever market their "most watched series"?
What exactly do you mean by "market" it? Run promo commercials about the series? They do market it about two weeks prior to the season starting up, as well as all during that seasons run.

They show it three times during the week when the series is airing, tho. They just run the second and third airings of an episode at somewhat odd times, tho times which are more conducive to shift work if you're on a Swings schedule (3pm-ish to 11pm-ish).
I agree about the ECW crap. Or like when they aired Braveheart and one or two other obviously non-SciFi, -Fantasy or -Horror movies over one Thanksgiving weekend. It's likely a marketing ploy wherein they can drag more viewers to SFC and maybe have a few of them stick around afterward and even come back during non-ECW times. I'm not sayin' it makes sense, just that it might be their logic, m'kay? :freak:

What I mean is DVD sales. It's been almost a year since season 2 and still no announcement of Season 2 DVD
:dude:
Griffworks 02-25-2008, 11:01 PM Ah, OK. I thought you meant for the upcoming or current season(s). I'm sure we'll get that second season DVD before Season Three airs.

Ah, the Vince McMahon variety.
Haven't watched that stuff since the days of the WWF (no, not World Wildlife Fund-sponsered biff-fests). And we're talking late '80s - early '90s here.
