Anybody ever tried this on slot car bodies? Pretty cool process.

That would be cool. Have to figure out how make the water droplets small enough and dry without melting the body.
It is acually mist painting over water drop and letting dry out before clearing.
I have tye dyed a body in water already.
Bowl of water,enamel spray bombs, and a body is all thats needed.
mist colors on top of the water.1 color at a time so it layers instead of mixing. Spray in different spots not on top of each other. After satisfied with the color effect dip the body straight down into the paint . be carefull not to go to fast or swirl the body in circles. straight down and straight back up.
The paint will stick to the body in a tye dye effect. Let air dry in the sun light is best then clear. really a different look. and try on older bodies before the real big project.
