I Am Having Trouble With My Spektrum Receiver And I Am Hoping That Some One Can Help Me. The Reveiver Works Great At Close Range But Once It Gets About 50-60 Feet Away It Loses All Reception I Think It Is Because The Antenna Wire Is Burnt By My Soldering Iron. Iguess My Two Questions Would Be. Would The Antenna Being Burnt Cause That And If So I Know That The Antenna Wire Has To Be A Certain Length Can Anyone Tell Me How Long It Should Be. Thanks In Advanced David

Which Spektrum RX do you have?
Yes the burnt antenna could be the whole reason. Even if just the insulation is melted. I can't say I've had this problem with a R/C car RX but, I have had issues with R/C airplane RX antenna's that have been compromised.

The length of the antenna on my Spektrum SR3500 is 3.292 inches. Measured from the outside of the case to the end of the antenna.

My SR3000 antenna is 8.755 inches. Also measured from the outside of the case to the end of the antenna.

If you ship it to Spectrum. They will replace the antenna wire and check everything is working Ok. They did this for me with no charge. Not even any return shipping charge.
They also did some kind of software up grade on it as well.
Two thumbs up for Spectrum Service.
