I just ordered a WCM sprint car. Can't wait to race it !

Question- without having a construction company grade it. ($$$$$$$)
Can any of you give me a step by step process & what equipment/tools, were used ?

ok cheap way is dirt but it cracks and is dusty when dry and clay is exspensive but the best. i use a shovel and my lawn tracter and my atv with a roller on the back

I found a guy our volunteer fire crew that has several 1/5 scale, T-Max toy's ect. that has excess to a large bucket loader (the type that swivels in the center). Now all we need is good dry weather and deciding on the track lay out.:thumbsup: Any suggested lengths, width's, corner's ect ?

100' x 36' of ground. 12' wide straights, 12' wide infield. 16' wide at the apex of the corners. This will give you about a 175' or 180' track. For a back yard track don't get too fancy, just a flat track as smooth as possible and rolled in good. Your profile doesn't say where you are so hopefully your soil is clay based with only a little sand? The more clay the better the track will firm up and remain race worthy with less work.

Sounds like a great plan. I live in Nebraska so, clay is abundant.

A clay track is the way to go but try not to have to much dirt mixed in with the clay or it will break down under use with the larger cars and trucks that said this is what our track is 156' drive line flat clay oval 10' wide lanes 16' wide apex on corners we also water lightly after each round and roll the track every day with a garden tractor and a lawn roller .We only run 10th scale electric no nitro we put this track down with a bob cat we also screened the clay to remove the clumps or break them down hope this helps
