It's that time of year again to get ready for some Outdoor 1:10 Scale Electric Pan Oval Stock Car Racing at the Huntsville Quarter Midget Association (HQMA) Concrete Paved Oval Speedway in Huntsville, Alabama. We race the ROAR 21.5BL LiPo & 13.5BL 4 Cell class rules. Race dates will be announced soon. UPDATE: Race dates are now on post #10 of this thread. Come join us for some great racing.

HQMA Speedway is a smooth wide banked concrete surface, 375ft. run line, AMB scoring, lots of power outlets. Great place to race and good friendly competition. Classes are going to be pretty much stock or stock equivalent pan car and touring.. Much more than that, and I dont think you can get it hooked up. But if enough want to, we can run whatever class (electric only)...

ROLL CALL!! Who's gonna show up and race at one of the best tracks in the south??

I'll be there and I know a few other teams that are getting cars ready and plan on running.

I hope Todd Smith AKA (ts) and Jimmy Flack AKA (jflack) can make some races. I consider those guys the benchmark when it come to hauling the mail on fast concrete ovals in this area, come and show us how it's done. Not to diss -DC- who kicked our butts last season, but I think 94 snake is coming on strong and will be hard to deal with this season.

Looks like we are going to have a pretty good crowd this weekend.. I talked to a couple of the TN guys Sunday, and they were planning on coming down Sunday..

Glad to hear the TN guys are coming, marshall said he was going to try and make it also. We should have a good race with those guys and us locals. :thumbsup:

We decided to have a test day today instead of a race and I think we all needed it, I know I did. I think I got my car the best it had been all day, but not getting a chance to make a full run the last time out after having a major crash I'm not sure. It was ugly! :drunk:

We may need to change a couple of race dates,

May 11th is Mothers Day, how about changing it to May 25th?

June 15th is Fathers Day, how about changing it to June 22nd?

We need to decide and update the schedule as soon as we can.

It was good to see some "new old faces" at the track Sunday checking things out, hopefully they will get the "racing bug" again and get back on the track with us. I raced with those guys "Back in the Day" maybe Earnhardt jr. will air those races on the SPEED CHANNEL show one of these days.:rolleyes:

Joe I don't think anyone was taking any pics, we were all to busy trying to get our cars hooked up being that it was the first time out this year on the track. We decided to just make it a test session for the day. Although -DC- did take a pic of my wrecked car but the camera didn't save the pic. Joe you need to come on back home and race with us sometime this summer.:wave:

I would like to invite you to the GASCAR race next Saturday, April 26 at Lagoon Park Raceway in Montgomery.. We can make up any class you guys need. The traction will be great. We will be running 1/4 scales and Nitro Pan and would like to add some electris racing beck to LPR.

Thanks Scott, CCRC really has a great track down there in the Capital City and you for one do a great job to promote it. But as you know here at the HQMA track in the Rocket City we are under the restrictions of the track owners and we have to abide to their rules and can only race electric cars, thus the trade off of us racing down there in hopes to have you guys run up here is cancelled out because gas cars are not allowed here. Thanks for the invite and I hope you have a great season with that COYOTE NP car.:wave:
