Just got back from the local hobby store. The owner had a couple of surprises set aside for me .....

Not to sound like a total jerk, but there was just a thread on the WL board about getting people fired for taking chase cars. If you guys have deals set up with stores, isn't that just as bad?

It's definitely a fair question to ask.

The person who is setting these aside is the "owner" of the hobby store. He normally puts them on eBay, but he has known me for a long time and knows I like Mustangs. So he tries to set special Mustangs aside till he hears from me. And I do not pay retail for these. He lets me make the offer on them. I paid probably 60% of what they are currently selling for on eBay. He made a good profit on them and I was happy to get them for the price.
