BIGCHUCK 02-22-2008, 11:19 AM Mike,
Checked with everyone at the track last night and most everyone is "in" for a Saturday oval race on March 8th.
How's this sound for a schedule for you guys from the "East":
10 AM - Track opens
2 PM - Q1
3 PM - Q2
4 PM - Q3
5 PM - Mains
All track & BRL classes welcome.
I don't see a problem in adjusting any of these times to make it convenient for you guys to come over from your side of the State. Just let me know.
We've got a few guys running 17.5 now on a weekly basis. So bring Andrew along?
Hope to see you and several of the St. Louey guy's on the 8th.

or follow the paragon smell!
CBear3 03-31-2008, 10:42 AM Thats funny, I used to work at KCAA. My first job was as a lot jockey :)
From there you'll go south on I-435, East on I-70 until you hit the Woods Chapel Road exit. Take a right on Woods Chapel (theres a stretch on that road that actually passes through a little township that is notoriously hard on speeders, so stick to the limit). Woods Chapel hits 40 Highway (which is divided) and you'll take a left and head East again for about a quarter mile before you'll see the big RC Racing banner on the right hand side. Fastlane is actually behind the buildings up front.

That's almost right, the last step should say turn left on US 40.
Cali boy TQs this week and takes the win this week.
I will wait longer next time befor sticking my nose in and getting spun out:pSee what greed gets you.
When is the next sat anyone from out of town wants to come over?
Jake:wave:
BIGCHUCK 04-07-2008, 12:52 PM We've had some folks ask about a weekend (Saturday) race this month (April). Looking over the schedule; it doesn't look like there is a good date for this month.
We're open every Sunday in April and we'll run oval along with on road if we get at least 3 cars (except for the 13th during our Midwest On Road weekend). I suggest anyone wanting to run oval on a Sunday from out of town post here to make sure there'll be at least 3 racers show up to avoid a drive for nothing.
We'll try to organize a specific date in May for a Saturday oval race. Open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Big Chuck
TQ and win with the RIP.Chuck brought a new missle tonight and if he whould not have pulled a Bow Duke off the dot I would have had my hands full.
Thanks to the guys I club race with we have fun and that is what its all about.
Jake
paulwest 04-14-2008, 10:16 PM JDW just got a new losi JRX-SR need some help on gearing for when i come to race--brushless gearing-pin & spure for touring-- and gearing for ovel truck with a brushed setup. THANKS TO ALL THAT CAN HELP. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:
Big Chuck will have to set you up with gearing in touring oval.and Scott is the wiz with the Losi touring .I am just a one hit wonder in 13.5 pan car.sorry not more help.
Foams that work at out track in 13.5 pan car
BSR
LF white , P white
RF black,black silver,silver
RL P white
RR white,white grey
Windtunnel
LF 2 white,white
RF black,silver
RL white
RR 2 white
TM (i think)
white on inside blacks on out side
Gearing 3.50 to 3.70 I keep mine in the 3.58 to 3.65 range.
Jake
CBear3 04-15-2008, 09:39 AM In 13.5 I think the guys were around 112/43 in on-road (rubber tires).
For touring oval, heck, throw the smallest spur and the biggest pinion you've got at it and start there :)
Running a four cell pack you'd be looking at roughly the same rollout as the pan car guys, but probably no more than 3.50 (considering the TC weighs a lot more).
paulwest 04-15-2008, 04:46 PM Sounds good thanks for the help.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Anyone wanting to come over and run in May?
Jake
BIGCHUCK 05-05-2008, 11:40 AM Thanks Jake for the bump.
Since the Midwest Grand Nats we've been talking about weekend oval racing. I'd like to see how much interest there'd be in a summer oval series, indoors on the carpet at Fastlane. And whether Saturday or Sunday would be best for most racers.
The schedule might look something like this:
Race 1 - May 17 or 18
Race 2 - June 7 or 8
Race 3 - June 21 or 22
Race 4 - July 19 or 20
Race 5 - Aug 2 or 3
Race 6 - Aug 16 or 17
Race 7 - Sep 6 or 7
We could run a points series, best 5 of 7 races count. BRL rules except we'd also allow Lipo batteries using the same equivalency as HobbyPlex (21.5/ lipo = 13.5 nimh; 17.5 / lipo = 10.5 nimh). There is some flexibility in these dates if there is enough interest. To be honest, I haven't checked for conflicts with Marshalltown and other outdoor tracks. But if interest is there we can find a way to work around other dates wherever possible.
Is there interest? Which day (Saturday or Sunday) is best?
Let me know.
Hope to see ya at the races......
Big Chuck

Big ChuckSounds like fun but I would miss the first race.10 year Wedding Aniv. is the 16th so I have plans already for that weekend. I think it would be better if you did 4 out of the 7 but that's not a big deal.
Jason
BIGCHUCK 05-05-2008, 12:29 PM Jason,
Any preference on Sat or Sun?
