what a great clip. Not only did those cars look different, they were all built up more or less from real ones. Man, I lived in Maryland in 1967 - was just a little kid - but I remember those races being promoted. Which I had seen one, not in the plan in those days - now I take my Dad to races, had to persuade him the first time, now he asks for firm schedules! My family is hesitant to follow, too many long SCCA weekends in the sun, or rain, or cold... LOL

That Marlboro track would never pass today's safety regs, what with the "yump" out of the oval onto the outside-the-track road course and the wall at the end of that short straight, but what a cool and demanding track tucked into a small space. Only track I ever have been to with that type configuration was Texas World Speedway - is it still operating that way, or up at all?

I thought it would be neat to model that type road course/oval combo. Unless it was routed somehow, beyond my ability for now, it could only be functional in one configuation, but what a piece of history.
