3.60....stepping up, Raz? If so I may be interested in running RCH this weekend if there are more 17.5's. LMK.
Razoo 02-25-2008, 10:30 AM Thanks Jason-Yup, joining the BL revolution. Won't be there this weekend but will be the next.
Are you using an 88T spur?
Racin'Jason 8 02-25-2008, 11:10 AM Yes...I pretty much use 88 in all BL's. You should have your pinion caddy filled up through about 49T. Won't be able to make next weekend (Jeff Sears race in Plattsburgh)...maybe you could make it. There will probably be about 30 17.5's with a mixed bag of experience so you'll be fine. LMK if you're interested and I'll help you with setup.
Razoo 02-25-2008, 06:51 PM Thanks Jason. I'm not sure yet what I'm doing that weekend but I definetly will be at the Adirondack Challenge on the 30th.

Steve.
Racin'Jason 8 03-23-2008, 12:02 PM Is there a list of the rules for each class?
Neil,
I'll try to help you out the best I can:
All brushless pan car classes basically follow BRL rules except cutting the back of the bodies is allowed and you can freeze motors. 41 oz, 4.25" body height, etc...
1/10 and 1/12 Brushed Pro-Stock/19T follows ROAR guidelines.
Brushed and B/L SK follow SKOR rules
RCH Spec(SK and PAN): RCH motors, F-brushes, RCH batteries, BSR spec. tires.
Hopefully Ken will chime in and add to this.
Steve...any chance of changing that 17.5 to a 13.5? Good to see you are coming. Hopefully you can get some of the other Northerners to migrate this way!
mightymidget 03-23-2008, 02:28 PM The Big Blue Bus is making the trip to Glens Falls.should be at least 5 of us if not more.

Ok ... 13.5/10.5 ... do/can you run wings in 13.5?
Steve.

Yes, wings are allowed in 13.5

Dan, make sure Neil brings his Beano :drunk:.
Steve, like Justin said...feel free to use a wing in 13.5. I don't ever use one in that class, just a preference.
Butters16 03-24-2008, 12:01 PM Finially a track i can't run 3 classes at Jason :woohoo:
rcrc805 03-24-2008, 03:30 PM For the guys from the Plattsburgh area that have asked about running their "sportsman" class rules with our SPEC class. I was hesitant at first, but we discussed it with our local SPEC racers this past weekend, and almost everyone was in agreement that it would be OK for this event only. We look forward to seeing you all, and seeing how or SPEC class compares with your sportsman class. Please spread the word to your fellow sportsman racers. Hope to see you this Sunday.
rcrc805 03-24-2008, 03:38 PM Clarification on Brushless classes.
We had originally stated that 10.5, 13.5 and 19 turn were all running together as Superstock. This was based on information posted on Novak's website as well as a couple of other sources. After a little further research, and speaking with a director from ROAR, the following adjustment has been made. Superstock will be 13.5 brushless and 19 turn. If anyone chooses to run 10.5 it will be a separate class.
DICKJ45 03-24-2008, 04:05 PM I am in for 13.5 and maybe 10.5 also. What time does the track open ?

what class is expected to be the largest?
could you post link to web page
could you post address

TJ, Not sure which class will be the largest but 10.5 & 13.5 seem to be building a following at a pretty quick pace.
RCH Spec has a great local following and some of the closest racing I've seen in any racing class.
SK has seen 6-10 different racers per week and is gaining populartiy. If the Turn 4 contingent can make it over I expect that SK will be quite large and very competitive.
As for the rules & address try shoprch.com, the address is on the main page & there is a link to the 2007-2008 rules as of the beginning of the season. I will call Ken in the AM to make sure that if there are any changes from the current list on the website he can make them here.
John

Racin'Jason 8 03-25-2008, 10:28 AM ....may be rethinking 13.5. Regardless of what ROAR says, 19T and 13.5 doesn't make sense.

Talking it over with Chris, he seemed to think that 13.5 & 19T were closer than 10.5 & 19T. Not so?

??? I went a lap faster than the "OPEN" 19T record with 13.5 just before the 'birds....but that record was set by T.P. 2 years ago I think. The rug gains ton of bite when we use natural rubber in 10.5, so that helped, but it seemed that when we mixed 19T and 10.5, the speeds were close - just that the 19T cars were "off". I guess that no matter what, the power curves of Brushed vs. BL will leave someone unhappy but it's your call...In 5 minute racing I think the 13.5 will prevail, but up front we could be wrecking equipment.
