after the performance G V put on at the Birds it should be strictly 13.5 4 cell at the Mill !!!

TBRC1
02-29-2008, 12:23 AM
Hey 13.5 works for me ...............Got one in the car and one in the package. Back em with TQ cells and let them eat  But for those who have not yet made the switch I can still run good ole stock. After my trip to TRS in Altoona I think I wait on the lipo thing ............they turn into fire balls REAL FAST.

Hello everyone......here goes per a conversation with Geo just last week. We are going to have a schedule up in about a week or so.

George is also planning on a FULL schedule........BUT THERE IS A CATCH.........

No attendance for the first few weeks...He is shutting down, so with that said, I would get ahold of either me or George (CALL HIM), and voice your opinions.

I believe we are going to do 17.5 13.5 and maybe 10.5 but doubtful anyone will do that class, lipos are a go, just I dont know what he has decided on yet.......

I will post more as I learn more.

George did have a GREAT week at the Birds, and ya'll should have a GREAT season at the Mill; assuming Mother Nature does her part well and does not mess up the weekends. So, keep your collective fingers crossed.

That's right. 10.5 has been replaced with 3.5 and Lipos... I know someone will run with me. This season it is time to go F A S T.

One more thing to add after talking with George this morning.......THIS WILL BE THE LAST SEASON for WILLOW MILL SPEEDWAY...

I think there are a number of reasons for that, one being I think rumor has it that the park is going diffrent directions, I think George will be able to clear that up in a few months.

Jim

PS, good to Jamie posting on this thread.....If he shows up to race, the fast guys only bring more fast guys with 'em:thumbsup:

Well let us know when the first race is ............................ looks like I'll be getting that second brushless setup forthe other car :D So I'll be in for 13.5 and 17.5 classes.

Just a question for those who don't have a brushless setup yet and might not have one by the start of the season ?? Will there still be old style brushed ???? I'm asking for those who are not internet users.

From George.......

Willow Mill Speedway will be opening for its LAST season of racing on Sunday May 4th 08

Racing will be every Sunday (weather permitting) racing starts at 12:30 pm.

As with previous seasons, "special" races are scheduled for each month.

The concession stand will be open on "special events" only, unless attendance supports its opening on regular race days.

Unfortunately due to increase costs, a fair amount of racers must participate on regular race days in May to keep the track open after the 2008 PA Nitro tour race scheduled on June 1st, 2008.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the track.

Thank you to all of you have supported "The Mill" over the past 16 years!!

Geo.

PS, I will be adding classes shortly........Jim

Bob, that would be great! I am not sure if you have ever been here or not? It is an awesome place, competition is always close.

I just spoke with George a few minutes ago and he is coming out to the brl race with another guy, I can make it, I am shakin' down my new gas ride.

Jim,
I raced there a few times back in the mid or late 90's . I only made it there once last summer for the ORL race and that was a weekend to forget for me. haha. Hoping to make it there more often this summer and hopefully I will be dragging some people with me. Thanks for keeping us all posted on the schedule.

Sounds like the BRL race is going to be pretty big.

The BRL will be big! its a great series, I ran the Greenville one with not much success, sorta like your ORL event LOL!

Do you have any suggestions for any classes? I know you have been racing a whole lot more then I have?

I was thinking 17.5 13.5 10.5 for classes? Lipo's are all George, I KNOW NOTHING about em

Jim,
13.5 has been by far the most popular class in my area. I would say 13.5 and 17.5 would definites with 10.5 as a possible. IMO less classes the better but I know that doesn't always work.

BEACH
03-06-2008, 06:42 PM
Bob, we think alike, we used to have a TON of different classes, but I think those days are pretty much over.

I'll be there as much as I can......................WAIT did someone say 17.5 as a possible class ???? If so that's a good reason to get the second car setup brushless.

Beach with the price of gas going UP maybe the schedule should be 2 sundays a month. The cheap stuff here is almost 3.30 a gal. The recomended fuel for my car is just shy of 3.50 a gallon. All I can say is GOUGING or how ever it's spelled.
