Usualy something like Dawn and just plain with no aditives. Just use your hands and make sure you do it twice. Wash your hands first with the same soap, again twice. Then let it dry at least one day. I've used blow dryers, and heat guns and you always get a small area or spot that the paint will fisheye. I leave the body in an area away from ALL oil and contaminents for a day or two. If you are going to put vinyl on the painted surface, wash your hands and dry with clean cotton towel before you start. I will even wash my hands every half hour just to make sure. The oils in your hands will make the paint fisheye, so try to touch the surface to be painted as little as possible. And what ever you do, don't let the wife vaccum in the same room lol. dangerousdave 02-17-2008, 10:10 AM I wash the inside of the body with denatured alcohol and have had no trouble with painting... I use the water base paint and seal it with there sealer and the fuel won't attack it... Dave D vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
