A little story first. I was coming back from a business trip. I was into hour 5 of a 7 hour drive. Along the way I stopped at a few big box stores, but didn't find a darn thing! Frustrated and tired, I thought that enough is enough and decided that from that moment I will just drive straight home. A few miles down the highway I came across a Meijer. Something clicked and I took the exit. There she was, a GL silver 1978 Corvette, just like many others I've left on the pegs before - but this one felt different. I flipped the package and there was the number - 1978!

What makes this find even more special is that 1978 is my birth year! The rest of the drive home flew by in a flash.

Thanks all! Of course, what makes is all the more special is that not only is 1978 the production year of the car, it's also the year I was born. It's as is if this car is my mechanical soulmate ;)
