JConcepts introduces a revolutionary new vehicle concept, the J82. The J82 is the buggy of your dreams, combining the drivability of a 1/10th truck with the fascination of a buggy. The J82 is a terrific platform for drivers wanting to race on a bigger track with tough terrain. The J82 allows a brushless and lipo driver the opportunity to race with more confidence for an extended period of time.

The JConcepts J82 is a conversion kit for the Associated RC10T4 vehicle. With this conversion, a driver can now compete in two classes on the same day using just one vehicle.

Jason Ruona stated – “Trucks have always been easier to drive making them a popular choice in competition. The buggy class has always been looked at as the more prestigious class – Now the Worlds have collided.”

Wow, thats pretty cool stuff. correct me if I'm wrong , but didnt the original 10t have narrow fronts like this set-up has.Man one of these would be really cool to run down at stateline where you have some room and BIG jumps.

its cool and all but do we need more classes. but brushless and lipo would put some power down with that thing.

The answer is an emphatic no. Please no new classes. A class like this is not going to bring new blood into the hobby. Looks cool, but......meh.....

The advantage is you could run 1/8 scale elect. buggy and 1/10 elect. truck just by changing tires and body.

I agree, It looks cool but all it will really end up doing is thinning out the other off road racing classes.

Sweet, then we can all run on the big outdoor 1/8th tracks!!!

I dont think it would thinn out the truck classes. I dont even run a truck , but if I see a few people with this set-up I would buy one just so I could run 2 classes with 1 vehicle without having to swap out motors or anything.Just change the front tires and body.Pluss this set-up looks sweet for stateline, litchfeild,Marriots in concord,or any other 1/8 track out there.

Just a question way would smaller front tires and a buggy body make a truck handle any better on a track made for 1/8 buggies which if you look at the parts on the 1/8 are a lot beefier than the 1/10 truck chassis??? I do think it looks Cool.

It will handle the track better than the current 1/10 buggys.

Yep. it was awesome idea in the 90's when mrc released the ' World scale " cars but now that we have the batteries and horsepower to really use an 1/8 2wd buggy I can really se this being the next big thing.....no pun intended.

Sounds like a pathetic attempt at using a lexan body to make a "conversion".

I just think it will cause a thinning of other electric off road classes. Alot like 4wd thinned out when trucks became really popular.

Bigger RC's equals bigger tracks, small tracks suck.

I think I will wait and see how many of them I see at the first couple outdoor races this spring. I f there are enough to make a class I will set one up.

Let's make this fly. Ten minute mains, easy, conversion, a little bit faster than a t4. On the surface I agree with Scott, it is hoaky. But, with tenth scale tracks dwindling, this may be an easy out. I would still have to join in with the laughter when one of these shows at a meet asking about what class to run in. Still, if the tracks are growing in size to meet the demands of an increasing Nitro turn out, this might foreshadow the dawn of a new electric era.

It will handle the track better than the current 1/10 buggys.

T4, less wide wheels; less friction, rotating mass, weigh and more precise steering due to before mentioned issues.

ps. Agreed. Just please, someone at associated, FIX THE T4 SERVO SAVER.

going to have some pics of a frankenstein project for you guys.I was thinking and didnt really want to speend 300.00 setting one of these up so it dawned on me that you could do this conversion to an evader ST using the j concepts wheels, front tires, an evader BX body(since the bx and the ST share the EXACT same chassis). So I picked up a evader st for 55.00, bought the jconcepts wheels and front tires for 22.00, and picked up an evader bx body for 21.00, an associated 7" high downforce wing for 2.00, and some kyosho rb5 wing mount that I had (4.00). So I will have around 120.00 into the complete roller. I will post some pics of the frankenstein J82 when I am done with it.should be a low buck way to get this class going!!
