Nuther Dave saved my Faller Porsche NOS body post from the chopping block. I was going to mount this on a t-jet body but, ND offered up a Fantastic running Faller chassis which has now found some run time on my track with some "white walls" on it now.

Chat works great for figuring out stuff and ND figured out that this little red guy needed a power plant that was correct for him. Ran and ran this tonight and then came here to tell you all about it.

Oh ND thanks for the chassis. If you look close you can see the Faller red gear through the rear window in one picture. Never had a Faller chassis before and this is way fun for the track dude!!

Nice! The big problem I had with these was BAD stock wheels. Brittle, sliding along the axle. And all my faller cars have TIGHT wheel wells.

The combination above often results in wheels rubbing on the wells.

YOUR wheel/tires look very good! What are they please?

Will post pics of my fallers, a little later, at work now...

I love the Faller porshes. Their pancake chassis were much faster than T-jets.

NICE SAVE!

These are Wierd Jack tires made for the Aurora T-Jet rims but, work great here also.

Thanks everyone for the props...yeah this is a fun Porsche and it also comes in Blue and White NOS on the pay bay (tubtrack is the seller).

My Mother and Step Father had one like this for about 10 years or more. They eventually sold it. My Step Father was doing a large seamless floor job for a Doctor who had this 1/1 car just sitting in the driveway. They wanted 4 floors done with paint chips under a clear finish. The basement was one of the rooms and the kids used that to roller skate on. The Porsche was a yucky mustard color and needed lots of TLC. Half Jokingly he offered all the work he did for trade on the car and the guy said O.K. That was back in the 80s and it did end up in the local Auto Show one year.

I said that it needed to be painted red and they did it. They moved to a trailer court in Arizona and their Porsche just sat under a tarp for years. Finally they sold the Porsche and now have a nice house with huge Cactus near Tucson Arizona.

I never got to drive it...oh dang!

The end...

Hey Bob, Sweet Porsche!

That is a cool lil chassis, too, hey!
Lil leaf springs molded in the rear and all. ... 'Nuther Dave did ya right!
Hey, if you ever get to the point of parking this beauty under an HO sized tarp for a
mess of years, let me know, yeah? I'd love to take it off your hands.
You don't want to upset all of your lil HO neighbors, now, do ya?
Gotta keep those HO trailer parks neat and tidy now.;)

Hey Bob!

Love all 911's, 'cept for the crappy '74 through '77 versions. Most of my automotive carreer was spent on them and other "cabbge grinders".

Did yer folks 911 have the steel 356 leftover rims or the later Fuchs five spoke alloy (pronounced "foox")? I only mention it cuz Vincent makes a nice facsimilie that may fit. I've always had a desire to convert all my HO 911's and 917's to the correct rims...just havent got off my butt.

Great car Bob! Lemmee know when the monsters are in their cages and I can mail you my little red one for a head to head proxy ralley in and around Bob Vegas. ;)

Dial nine wun wun for fun!

Yup! Went and checked my lil red bucket. Like Bob's new baby. The fresh air intake vent on the engine lid is a 'lil chrome widget kinda like the front grill on an Aurora A/C Cobra.

Nope Bob, unfortunately the AFX RSR is a "pre-goop" car so it's a bomb can special, "Meadow Green" yard furniture paint if memory serves. Never even got around to clearing it. Just a thrasher for testing guard rail integrity.

Sorry Bob, already promised the "Frog" to Coach. I agreed that he could dig it up and toss my rotting corpse in the first ditch he see's after a proper period of mourning. Ya see, I plan to buried in it!;)

However if the Canadian IRS sentences Coach to death and he meets his demise first, I see no reason why you couldnt take his place in our twisted ton-tine.
