View Full Version : Which shows to 30,000 NASCAR collection
Tom Jr. 02-13-2008, 12:38 PM I represent a nieghor that is retiring and wants me to sell his collection of about 30,000 plus NASCAR diecast collectables. I have pictures that represent a portion of his collection if that helps.
I live near Corpus Christi if that helps.
Thanks and wish me luck, I am new to this and feel a bit overwhelmed. I belong to a fishing forum and have had alot of help there so I thought I would go to a specialized group like yourselves.

scrambler81 02-13-2008, 12:50 PM If you go to the bottom of the "Die Cast" page, you'll find a NASCAR specific forum as well as a For Sale Forum, you might want to start there. Good luck with this - A collection that size may take the rest of your life to disassemble.
BTW - If there is any interesting Dale Jarrett stuff in there, drop me a PM and maybe we can talk.

Tom Jr. 02-13-2008, 12:51 PM Thanks, this is all new to me and am open for suggestions.
Tom Jr. 02-13-2008, 12:58 PM Which show would be the best to try and sell this collection? This might be my best bet, and alot of work.
jedimario 02-13-2008, 01:39 PM You'll be very, very fortunate if you can sell that as one lot at pretty much any price, it's huge!
Your best bet would probably be to part it out, maybe by year or driver.
Mark #10 02-13-2008, 01:42 PM Tom,
You could make lots up, and put them on eBay.
Since your in TX, maybe look for a show in or around the Cup Race...first week of April.
Stangfreak 02-13-2008, 08:06 PM That's sure one heck of a collection... You might try some people at this site:
http://www.diecastsearch.com/
They deal alot with NASCAR stuff... They also used to have a list of people searching for specific items...
A lady by the name of Barb Cohen is who I used to talk with...

Good Luck !!!

Good luck my friend! What a job you have undertaken. All the advice is good, but I too like the idea of buying space in the outside vender area at Texas.
I hope the owner understands what he is up against value wise. Again, good luck
wannafbody 02-14-2008, 02:02 AM As a general rule Nascar prices have fallen. I recently picked up a Dale Jarrett 1/24 Iroc car off ebay for less than $20 shipped.
