Echeconnee

I have a 12th scale oval car and I am looking for some guys to join in that class, no rules yet though. If you are talking about on road, I am open to the possibility but there would have to be a good size group interested before I was to buy all of the pipe, ect needed for onroad. I would love to see the 12th on road run, I like to watch those little cars run!Are yall going to be running 1/12 scale also and if so what class.

I was thinking more about 1/12 oval I've never ran one before but i likethe way the little cars look.If there is enough people interested I'll get one and run two classes when yall start racing.

Interesting

my 21.5 Lipo car is running .1 to .2 seconds slower a lap then some of the best 10.5 4 cell cars in the Country at Stricklands RC in Daytona Florida (Run line 160 feet) and About .3 seconds slower a lap then the same guys at Hobby World in Jacksonville Florida (Run line 380 feet) Im also faster then the 13.5 class with my 21.5 lipo car by about .2 seconds a lap on both tracks.

My trigger finger is itching as well. I plan on starting out in breakout when we first get started and then grow from there. I would love to see a lay out that would include a road course. Then may we can run some touring classes 4 and 2wd. Just have to see who wants to run what.

Lets race!!!!!!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

The break out class will be the biggest class for sure!

I plan to run the break out class to start but want to switch to the 21.5 after I get my "stuff" together. I think the 21.5 will be a good class.

After further investigating into my checkbook my final determination is that I will start in break out then move to the 21.5 class. Gotta save money for the lipo stuff. I will need a battery and a charger. As far as the esc and motor I am currently running a 4300ss brushless and am wondering if the ss speed controller will handle the 21.5 ok or will I need to upgrade there too. What do you think Cliff??? R/C guru???:D

Cliff are you going to update the track page on AOL or just let it fall by the wayside???? Just wondering???

Echeconnee
02-16-2008, 08:04 PM
your controller will work fine but you will need to run a lipo cut off. I will update the AOL site when the track is up and running

Collinsworth24
02-17-2008, 01:43 AM
how would I go about running a li-po cutoff and how much for a li-po battery, charger and 21.5 motor???

Well the wall on this track should be as forgiving as the one on the big track, maybe even more. I am building it the same as they did @ the Snowbirds, out of vinyl fence material. I hammered theirs a few time during the weekend with no damage to my car. I think overall speeds will be lower so even when 2 cars collide the damage will be much less than on the big track.

Hello, question to Cliff Kline. Where is the track going to be located? and do you still operate the paved oval. I am new to RC racing, preparing to purchase a car in the next few weeks. Thanks.

Echeconnee
02-25-2008, 01:19 PM
The paved oval is gone, we are in the process of building a new carpet track @ 1505 N. Avondale cir. Macon GA 31216 We will be across the street from the Macon Airport

Cliff, I'm in Pike Co. Browsing the web for tracks in Ga came across your web site, saw the oval thought I would ask. As I said in the previous post I will be new to this not sure what type of car to buy. Looking to see what kind of racing is local to me then purchase with some guideance from the local experts.

Cliff, I'm thinking your track will be oval racing, what type cars? I'm looking for a hobby that involves racing. Spent the last five years in bandolero racing (son was the driver) Bando for sale now, my son and I would be intrested in RC racing.

It's definitely racing, more saturday night style than NASCAR though. We run straight axle pan cars with NASCAR type bodies. I could write a book on just your question alone, lol. Send me an e mail to GTOCK1000@aol.com and I will send you a bunch of links of things to look at to get a grip on what we do.Cliff, I'm thinking your track will be oval racing, what type cars?
