What Can You Win At This Race????

Not sure, Steve is working on the awards. My guess would be either trophies or plaques. It would be cool to do a custom pit board for the winner but you are talking some money then in prizes. I believe the awards will be top 5 in the A mains.

For your Busch w/truck bodies/3000 windtunnel spec packs/spec tires/and 27t motors class is it any 27t motor? are we going to run brl body rules for the trucks? I.e no rear cut out and the short wing, and set body height?

With Brl Rules You Cannot Cut Out The Rear Of Your Body.if I Am Correct Racers Need To Know That Are Buying New Bodies.i Need To Buy 2 This Weekend

BRL rules would be 3/4 inch spoiler (from the flat part of deck lid), No wings, and back of body must not be cut out.

i say you lift the no wing rule in 13.5

erock1331
02-13-2008, 10:18 AM
I can talk to steve about lifting the wing rule. To me a wing rule makes no sense. At the birds in 13.5 you saw both. Same with stock. It's always been a matter of preference in the slower classes vs a performance issue. To wing or not to wing, lol

Also if you pre-Enter for 19 and there ends up not being 5 or more, you can change classe's and still get your pre entry price...

Good Luck. General.

You Need To Know That Giving Is Great! Taking Is Bad.

You Are Bad. 30.00 For What??????

Continue! Classic Will Be Back Where It Was.

My Thoughts. Do What You Want.

But That Could Be Your Demize. Look That Up In The Dictionary.

I Am Sure Most Hate Me Right Now! But I Am Right. Some One Comes Around And Says 30.00 To Race And 10.00 Back To Racers. I Am Telling You! Your Out Buddy.

honestly Hank if there was ever a case for barring from someone's IP adress from Hobbytalk he is it. Getting sloppy drunk and typing random pointless messages is just about the biggest reason someone should be banned from here. . I think (and I feel quite a few will agree with me) that he has had his chance to make an A** out of himself. Please Hank, do us, and everyone else in the R/C oval world a favor. Do not allow him to post junk again.

At least if you are going to try and attempt using big words.
Spell them right.
It's spelled Demise not Demize

Money race ? People cheat, argue and fight enough in the toy hobby game. Could you imagine throwing money into the mix. Yikes. Scary, plain and simple

hey steve, just want'd to let you and the akron racers know that I had a good time last sat! Don't let the big kahotbreath ruin what you have going. I plan on racing at the breakout race reguardless of the price of admission.

Hey guys a couple things to note about the big race.

For the Spec Truck/Busch class - the max spoiler height (measured from the deck lid) can be a max of 3/4". Also for the big race this will be a bring your own 27T roar legal motor.

For the 19T class - it will be Komodo motors only. No handwounds or Ultrabirds.

For the BL classes (17.5, 13.5 and 10.5) BRL rules apply except for the following track rules --> you can cut the back of the body out and use wings in all the BL classes.

Any Chance of getting the carpet re streched before the big race ,,,, Not really an issue but having to cut bodies that high makes htme useless after...

We went to this track before the Snowbirds and the racing was great ,Several Mod cars ripping up the carpet and the only thing holding this track back from being the best on the eastcoast to practice on is the carpet getting streched ...

GENERAL \--- Just keep moving forward ,all tracks go thru this crap when someone new comes on .... The price for the race sounds cheap to me 30.00 for a class is nothing when you spend 90.00 for gas each way .Kepp up the great work and I will see classic as a premier track in the northeast ...

Ardian - Hows the car working

wanted to bring this up for debate. should wings be allowed in 17.5 and 13.5?
I figured it was more of a personal preference going those speeds vs a performance gain. And since they allowed them at the Birds. But i've heard from some saying they would like the BRL rules to stick not allowing wings. Your guy's call. Let me know so i can reflect it on the race flyer which should be out later this week

If I can get enough people in there for the next few weeks and possibly start making alittle I'll be more than happy to put the money back into the track. My plans were to pull the carpet back up this spring and have it streched before next season, but now were starting to pull more racers than expected for the oval crowd so I think it will happen. I built the bumps and jumps for Fri. nights and it's starting to pick up and pull a few extra as well. I just have to watch what I do because I need to start putting in the outdoor offroad track whick is going to cost a little bit as well, that way i will pull enough through the summer. But if not I can still run my other company through the week and run the shop and track on the weekends. I'm just trying to get out of the other buisness because I need to spend the time down at the shop to be able to keep everything moving. I still have alot to do inside to get it all ready for the big race. Steve:thumbsup:

Beero

Steve, if you need some help around the shop to get things done. Dont hesitate to ask. I'm sure that myself, Adam, and a few others will be more than willing to help.

Thanks Joel, I'll keep you guy's in mind.

Youo give me a heads up, and some notice, I would come out on a Fri. and work on the track with you guys then stay and race Sat.
Speaking of racing, have you ever thought about spraying the track when you first open on Sat for alittle more grip? It seems to take along time for the grip to come up, not sure if its the Jack the gripper.

adamliehr
02-18-2008, 10:46 PM
I talked to a some people about that. They said that spraying the track with gripper kills the grip for about two weeks, but then the bite is great. But that track also had about half the racers we get.

Keep up the great work Steve!
