? Are Tomy and Tyco steel guide pins interchangeable?

Is there an easy way to pull them out?? I use much force with a plier and I am afraid of damaging the chassis or the pin

no.... the flange on the tyco is larger.... if you want to remove the guide pins, grab it with a pair of pliers and pull slowly and firmly....you should have no problems damaging your chassis.....

How should we do it if we DON'T want our chassis damaged?

Try not to bend the pin when pulling it out of the chassis, unless its worn and you're tossing it. Use bull nose pliers and you won't get knurl marks on the pin. You can freeze the chassis too and the pin should come out easier. Just be double careful as the plastic will be more brittle. ;)

I actually find it harder to install them. Seems like more risk of busting the chassis or your knuckles. :drunk:

I've actually used the Tyco guide pins in the Tomy chassis, in fact I just put the correct pin in today. They work but wobble as the flange is smaller, like said prior. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove them.
